Well, it seems like we are at this point :o
Would have liked to see him in the green to start off his day, but don't think 103 is too shabby.
I know I didn't get the official go ahead from Sienne who has been so extremely helpful
to me .... along with EVERYONE else, but I believe this is where we are at. Thank you for all of your support.

When you get a chance, can you add today's date to your Subject Line and link your last condo to this one?


Here are the instructions:

•Test at your normal AMPS and PMPS times. Feed multiple small meals throughout the day as much as possible (small meals are less likely to overwhelm a newly functioning pancreas).

•If Pixie is green at your normal test times, no need to test further until the next "PS" time, just feed small meals and go about your day. If he is blue, feed a small meal and test again after about 3 hours. If his number is lower 3-4 hours after a meal, then his pancreas is working!

•If, after 2 weeks Pixie has stayed in normal numbers, we have a party!

Sometimes the trial doesn't work the first time and we have to give a little more support in the form of resuming insulin. It's not the end of the world if that happens, we just give him the support he needs. Our goal is a strong remission and it's better to take our time to get that than to rush into remission just to have it fail later on.

Guess I was too excite about OTJ that i forgot the basics!!

I work, so I can test at +1 and +2 and even +2.5....my son can come home to feed at +6 and I get home about +8....I am looking into
automatic feeders right now.
Keeping my fingers crossed!

Excitement for Pixie on day 1,
trial has just begun,
mommabean is a little flustered,
maybe she needs to eat some custard,
to feed that brain,
and get the condo right again!

Ok, you are stuck with my awful rhymes to cheer you on during your OTJ trial days. Some will make you groan, some will make you laugh, hopefully they will make the time pass, and fast.

I am excited for the rhymes and all the green my Pix has given me today!!
You can rhyme to me everyday if it means we no longer need the juice!!
