Happy Caturday LL!

Nice amps for Muffin this morning - still think I'll get new insulin today. Muffin is definitely showing a preference for the pre-packaged turkey over the deli turkey, but it seems like she's drinking more water, so I'm thinking too much salt in it. So I'm either going to have to start giving her less or go ahead and try introducing a bit of canned with it and see what happens. I had gone into the vet last Friday to have them order me some Purina DM dry, as it's the last low carb dry food I haven't tried yet. Got a call from them yesterday - a whole week later - asking did I want them to order it? :YMSIGH: Down to 9 AT test strips, still waiting on new ones in the mail. I do have ReliOn strips if they don't come today. I guess I should just make the permanent switch one of these days - will make a prettier SS :lol:

Kibby has already stolen the rest of Muffin's breffis :YMSIGH: ohmygod_smile

Now this is a very nice AMPS! And I salute you on your determined efforts to get Muffin to eat the proper diet. It sounds like every little step is a step in the right direction for this very stubborn kitty. Good for you!

I went btb to watch some tv and ended up falling back to sleep. Got up and found that I had locked Muffin outside! So she hasn't eaten much this morning. I put out some kibble for her...and she's not eating it :o :shock: I'm sure she will, after it warms up from being in the fridge, but in the meantime, I guess I'll fill her belly with more turkey and a tiny bit of canned

Muffin still hasn't eaten much today. She was not thrilled that I put a crumb of canned food in her turkey. She ate 1 or 2 pieces until the canned was showing, then she quit. Sam promptly came and ate the rest! I left to go meet another FD kitty bean to take her some info from here and some various types of food to try and ended up staying and chatting for quite a while! Told her all about this place so hopefully we'll see her here soon.

you're really working hard at trying to transition Muffin, and her numbers are great! I guess she's just too smart. I have a cat like that too. He did finally end up eating canned, but only Fancy Feast and once in a while Wellness Core wet. If I try to put even a crumb of higher quality wet food or raw in his Fancy Feast, he'll reject the whole bowl. Cats. :roll:

Yes, Libby, that sounds JUST like Muffin! At least I know she's not the ONLY one. I'd just rather it be one of the civies that was so stubborn, but I guess that's probably what got her into this mess in the first place. She's had her fill of her 3 slices of turkey (didn't try adding the canned this time) and is sitting here waiting for some kibble I suppose. Vet called in new insulin for me, but I didn't have a chance to pick it up today, will get it tomorrow.
