yeah, blackie , the bean was so ticked she sent the nephew-bean down the block to the grandbean's. i dont think it was as much the contraband as the LIE about the contraband...he got the speech about only an idiot lies to their lawyer their doctor/vet and NOBODY lies to their aunt...well, you get the idea. :))

it's not really buggin me tho...the nephewbean is kinda loud and moves way to quickly for my tastes, even tho he's almost an adult. i like the quiet beans...

oh, what a day! relocated in June 2010 to my DS house. when we arrived, i found that her 2 tortie females, for numerous reasons, had not been moved up the street when DS went back to the nursing home, and have been maintained, but largely left to their own devices in this bean-empty house for 5 yrs. Smudge, being older and alpha, immediately joined our family unit, but Annie had little chance to bond in the past. she disappears any time i am gone for more than an hour...runs to me whenever i am outside for love & food, but still roams. a couple of weeks ago i discovered she has a private home out in the back shed...and the only toy she refuses to share (given to her the week we moved in) has been jealously kept in this nest. I think she has feared yet a 3rd abandonment, and this is her fallback shelter.

BUT!!! this morning, she brought her baby bear up to her new kitty bed, and made sure that i saw her tuck it under the blanket! how i hope that she is finally coming into the fold!!

Welcome to our family, Annie!!

Beautiful surf today, Binks. So Sweet that Annie is finally feeling safe w/ you.

On the SS, There are buttons on the top of the SS where you can change the colors, the capital A gives a menu for text color and the box w/ 4 colors lets you change the background color if the rules aren't exactly met (i.e. you typed anything other than a number in the range). The "rules" don't allow anything other than a number, so if you add anything else you have to hand color.

If you want to change the rules to always have a different colored text, you must select the cells you want to be effected first, then go up to the format menu and choose "Change colors w/ rules ..." click the text box next to the rule you want to modify then choose a color in the box to the right. It took me a long time to figure out that the cells had to be selected, changing rules doesn't automatically effect all the cells in the SS.

well...there WAS room...now its me, binks and the Adoptocats. the boxer-drooler Sean and alpha manx Homie both left us the first week of this year (bless them both) so these 2 ladies are welcome...we were feeling a bit of emptiness. And they have been truly good to Binks...though i believe he's got a surprise coming the first time he chases them around the yard when he regains some health! i've seen Smudge take on cats twice her size, and she is about 5 lbs bigger than the B-man...i know she senses he's got health issues.

Great story about Annie and how sweet that she brought her toy inside. I guess she figures this is home. Good for her!

Sounds like you folks have had a very exciting day at your house. I'm so glad that Annie has figured out she's got a loving, safe home. SHe sounds like a real sweety. Good numbers there Binks. I hope you're planning on surfing tonight.

So, what did I do on this Saturday night? I made the Colonial Rose Peach Custard Pie and I am waiting (not so patiently) for it to cool down. I skipped the brandy part though.
Sp, THANKS A LOT CELI!!! I can't even begin to think about the calories ...oh well...it has peaches and they are healthy...right?
I know I will hate myself in the morning.
But I will hold YOU responsible...understand?

Just read what you wrote in Gabby's condo...laughing sooo hard...you can tell your GranBean that I personally do not have a cat...i said I had two so I could get in good with everyone in the hopes that one day they just might share some recipes with me....even if i had to wait over a darn year for it...
