Happy appy, feisty, snuggle-overload, cuteness and anti-jinxes abound. She's still a bit "spunky" over the gelcap, but we're managing better than we were a few weeks ago. This morning, it was a dual: who is faster - Trix's paw or MamaBean? Shockingly, it was MamaBean!! I think if I failed with that final swat, it would have been a long haul. I do love her spunk despite the stress the rough gelcap events cause.
Thank you for all the visits and vine yesterday. It has taken a couple days for my anxiety to settle out, but I'm starting to get there. My Dad is still waiting to hear back about when his appointment at Penn is going to be - it takes several days once a request is submitted. He's in great spirits, though, and considering how he feels this is all still as shocking as it was back when he was diagnosed last year. The only symptoms he ever has are related to treatment and not cancer...all so strange.
Petey's appy is OK but still not 100%. However, I woke up to not one, but two Petey-Pie hairballs, one of which I found with my foot and was quite large. So hopefully that marks the end of this particular stress-maker. He ate fairly well this morning, and hopefully now that all the fuzz is out of his belly, his appy will return to normal. I hope, I hope, I hope. I'm still waiting on his BW results.
Today is DH and I's 21st anniversary!! It's hard to believe how fast time has flown...it seems like yesterday. We've both changed a bit...I have to say, he more than I, though....most of his hair is gone now (not a bad thing - he wears it well!) and he's lost a lot of weight and really gotten in shape. We both took the day off and are going to our favorite vegetarian restaurant for lunch.
