TitTi seems to be having another or continued pancreatitis attack, and a recurrence of the Herpes virus. Present meds are: Cerenea every other day, 10 day regimen of Doxy, and ondanestrong 2x day.

Her appetite is fine, her poops normal, preaning normal, but she's quieter.
My cat Buddy has chronic pancreatitis and has had for 5 years. Taking prednisolone for 2 days threw him into uncontrolled diabetes. When Buddy is having a flare he has very loose stools 4 or 5 times a day, gets real picky about eating, gets to the point that he will not eat, sometimes will throw up a little bit and is painful. He will not play and tries to hide around. Did your vet say anything about pain meds, pancreatitis is very painful. Hope your kitty starts to feel better right away.

My vet is new, straight out of vet school. She replaced my long term vet, and doesn't have much hands-on experience. No, she has not mentioned pain killers.

My vet always gives Cerenia, but that is for throwing up. Ondanestron is for nausea, I prefer Ondanestron. I am glad TiTi is feeling better, pancreatitis is a bad thing. Hope she is able to eat.

I think Cerenea is primarily an anti-inflammatory. It's used as an analgesic, and is particularly effective in combatting Pancreatitis flare-ups. I guess an inflamed tummy would benefit from cerenea, but I don't know if it targets vomiting -hey, experts? Any ideas?

I think some of my experts - Harvey and Wendy&Neko - might be pre-occupied with fires.

Why not Cerenia every day? Neko got it every day, along with ondansetron. Cerenia is good for vomiting.

Does Titi get vitamin B-12 shots? I have heard it can really help slow down the number of p'titis episodes.

Weepy eyes can also be an acro thing.

Cerenia if you read off the box says "Tablets are indicated for the prevention of acute vomiting and the prevention of vomiting due to motion sickness in dogs". The pkg says Cerenia is an Antiemetic, it does not mention Cerenia as an anti-inflammatory. Onsior is an anti-inflammatory for cats.

Cerenia has anti inflammatory properties. My civie Theo (GA) got it for his cystitis episodes.
Onsior is an anti-inflammatory for cats.
Onsior in and NSAID, I would be careful about giving it. And even according to the manufacturer it's not to be given for more than 3 days.

I didn't know that about weepy eyes. What causes it. Sure wish I hadn't started the antibiotics.

I have B12 in a bottle, and syringes. I can certainly start her on it.
I've experimented and 6 mg Cerenea, every other day, works; this regimen suits my budget and TiTI's tolerance. Cerenea is cumulative, according to my former and now relocated vet, because it has a rather long half life.

Thank you. My vet said it was an analgesic and anti-imflammatory. I should have read the insert. I must have mixed it up with Onsior - makes no sense that my vet, who was extremely bright, would have made such a mistake.

OK. That fits what my former vet said. She only gave me a week's supply of Onsior, and at the same time gave me cerenea. My brain collapsed the two meds into one, is what I think happened. When so much is going on, and I'm given 5 different meds for TiTI at the same time, I must learn to frequently review everything.
