Good Sat. Morning, Everyone,

Rusty was mouse hunting early this morning. (He didn't find the mouse). All OK except for the continuing high numbers. We're packing up and going home in the mid morning and I'll write more later. It's another beautiful day. The 2nd day of the race begins right about now, but there are no places to easily resupply the racers. I don't know if our friend will race or not. Will find out tomorrow, at the finish!
Be back later,

Ella & Rusty

Rusty, what are you doing way up there! Sorry about your friend not able to complete the race. Hope he's okay today. I wonder if Rusty is high due to the trip? He will come down. Have a nice day and enjoy the weather.

Re: 9/10 Rusty AMPS 232

Morning guys! Sorry for the higher than normal number for Rusty.I hope that maybe when he gets home he'll have more Rusty-like numbers. Right Rusty?

Good luck to your friend today. I hope ll works out and that he can race today.

have a safe journey home - and Rusty?: try to to get car sick OK? Just breathe deep... you can do it!

Hi again,
I don't think it is all attributable to trip stress, since Rusty was also in these numbers before (fur shots, general creeping elevation,etc.). But in any event, we had a really good trip home. Rusty didn't get carsick!!! He used his car litterbox expertly. He enjoyed sitting on top of the stuff in the back and looking out the window. We've had a day without fur shots!!! (I think). We're flat yellow, so maybe that means he will start coming back to his normal numbers. At least we hope for lower numbers tomorrow, because on Monday we have THE DENTAL, and that will probably screw up everything all over again: I was told not to feed after midnight and no insulin. He goes in between 8 and 9 A.M. (+2.5 or thereabouts), but will not have his procedure until later in the morning because the vet has her appointments before she does dentals or surgery. She is also going to take an x ray of his bladder to see if there is a stone. I will take the opportunity to speak to her about the crystals in his urine and what to do about them, his PH of 7.5, his "high" (16.0 g/dl) HGB, and some of the other things on his lab reports. I have already told her "no Metacam", "No Convenia".

Needless to say, I am apprehensive about the dental. He does have tarter and some gum inflammation and recession. He doesn't have many teeth left, however! I asked if the vet had a dental x-ray machine (she doesn't; our old vet didn't either. Is this a reason not to do a dental?? When I checked with the Animal Hospital in Plattsburgh--the largest city in our area--they said they didn't do dental x rays, either). Thoughts on this, anyone?

Rusty had a nice morning at camp. He went down to the water and looked at his reflection. After we got home, we went out in the yard and he caught a grasshopper (but it got away).

I hope all is well in LL. Thanks for visiting. Rusty is happy that his pals had a good time at camp.

Tomorrow is the conclusion of the 90 Miler, at the boat launch in Saranac Lake Village. I don't think our friend paddled today, but he may tomorrow, just on principle.

I think that x-rays are more of an issue with extractions. If teeth come out, you need to be sure that the roots are out and an x-ray can tell you that.

I hope the dental puts an end to these yellows.

Oh Rusty....come back down!!!

I'm glad you are safely back and had a nice day for the race.

On the dental xrays...I don't think they are a reason to NOT do it esp if you can't find someone who has a dental xray machine. The only thing is if they see something on the surface...they won't know exactly how involved any infection or anything else might be without the xrays. And as Sienne says, they can't tell if they get everything if they have to do an extraction.

Saying many prayers and healing vines for you all on Monday.

Auntie Ellabean...Tobes here. I send you lots of Tobey love and hugs. Don't worry about Rusty....he'll be fine and I'll come give him a massage. I lubs you!!

Thank you, Sienne and Marje and (especially) Tobey for your good dental vines!!
Rusty is finally back in blue. Yea! He's been coming down very gradually all day.
He got his tiny treat of FF T&G at bedtime even though I learned today (In Do Lou's condo) that T&G in the new formulation is 7%, not 3% (I don't know where those carbs come from: in reading the label it doesn't seem that there should be carbs in those ingredients).

Thanks for visiting today, everyone,
Ni ni,

Ella & Rusty

Oh pooey I missed you before you and Rusty went to bed. Hope you all had a good day and good to hear he traveled well.
Rusty......you need another mousing seminar? I can do one for you and Willie!
