Good morning,

Sending out healing vines to @JoyBee&Ravan for Peggy Sue, @Pamela & Amethyst for Pamela, @AliceMeowliss&Cassandra for Alice, @Sue and Luci for Sue and @J.J. and Phoebe Squeak for her DH.

@Debra and Yoyo Looks like Yoyo decided to go tease the sharks last night! :nailbiting: You did a great job of bringing Yoyo safely back to the lagoon! It would be nice if our kitties could pick more convenient times to go hang in the danger zone! I hope you can get some rest today. :)

We dropped Leo off at the clinic last night. :(

Thank you all for the vines, prayers and well wishes, it’s appreciated more than you know. It’s very comforting that you’re all out there routing for us. :bighug:

@Gill & George Gill, thank you for jumping in and adding George to the list of diabetic/CKD kitties in remission, it’s very reassuring. It’s incredible that George is 20 years old! You’re very lucky and he is too having you as his mama bean! He’s so cute BTW, I love his pink nose! Does he have pink pads also? We once had a big grey macho kitty that had pink pads, we used to tease him all the time about it.

@Tina Marie and Jan Jan, I took your advice but I had a couple of Coors Lights instead of red wine!

Apparently Leo’s surgery doesn’t start till noon, so I won’t have any news until much later but I plan on calling in to check on him in a little while. I’m sure he’s very scared and doesn’t know what’s going on and it’s making me crazy thinking about it, so I called my MIL and I’ll be taking her to Costco this morning. That should keep me busy for a while and keep my mind off it, I feel like I want to go over to the clinic and break him out and take him home.

I hope everyone has a really good Tuesday, don’t forget to warn your kitties about the sharks!

Sonia - I'm right with you today, and all those you mentioned in your excellent morning post. I'm usually a little nuts during any daytime procedure, and yours is a little extra long and heart aching. But you are smart - taking MIL to Costco sounds great . . . you could even grab a bouquet of flowers (for Leo)!! My DH has started that habit. My little bouquet is from last weekend and still looks good. I don't drink red wine much anymore - it sounded healthier than my White Russians sounded! Beer was just right.
Do not feel alone, because you aren't!!! We all love Leo I'll bet! And the lovely, kind, Sonia too:bighug::):cat::bighug:

Poor guy, he must be starving! BFG was not happy about being fasted before his dental.
sending good procedure vines,
Keeping yourself busy sounds like a good plan

Some pink some black, mostly pink. He's really pink and black all over, even inside his mouth. We feel blessed to have him in our lives, he's the heart of our home (usually the snoring heart:joyful:)

Big time warm thoughts, vetty vines, and well wishes for Leo’s dental today! I’m sure he will be just fine... it sounds like the vet you took him to has a really good reputation so it had to come from somewhere!

Have a nice distracting day at costco!

Can’t wait to see Leo’s “new smile”

Thinking of yas :bighug:

Thanks for the healing vines! I am sending some back to you & Leo. I think it's great that you will have some retail therapy to take your mind off things. I look forward to updates on Leo. It sounds like he is in very good hands.

Muah to you and Leo :bighug:

Oh gosh! I completely empathize with wanting to break Leo out of kitty vet jail! I'll be in the same boat in a few days. Hoping that Leo's dental goes well and leads to positive results :)
Have fun at Costco!! I used to looooove shopping there but don't live near one anymore. I miss it!

Piling on the vines for an easy dental for Mr. Leo. There is a huge Italian food store across the street from the vet dental specialist. I spent a lot whenever Neko had a dental. I hope you have some yummy soft food like all meat babyfood for you furbaby when you break him out.

The vets should give out Valium for the parents
There is always Rescue Remedy. ;)

Thank you all so much!!! I love you guys, what a truly amazing group of people you are! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I just got off the phone with Leo's surgeon and NO TEETH EXTRACTED today for Leo!!! He's coming home tonight!!! Picking him up at 7:30 with some AB's for gingivitis. The surgeon said despite the gingivitis, he's never seen such beautiful teeth on a 14 year old cat before!

What the first Dr. thought was a cracked tooth turned out to be a tartar deposit. And when the surgeon called me Saturday, they were preparing for at least one extraction and who knows what else they would find after seeing the x-rays. He said Leo was probably only coming home on Wednesday and probably with a feeding tube!

The surgeon also said that Leo really gave them a run for their money while he was under the anesthesia because his blood pressure kept going up or down so when they pulled back on the anesthesia, he would start waking up and trying to bite them. He also hissed at them a bunch of times before and even after he started waking up! He's going to be so happy to be home!

I'll definitely celebrate with some rescue remedy tonight! :D

What a relief!! So happy for you and Leo!

The hissing during anesthesia reminds me of something Nyx would do!! You’ve inspired me to try and get my cats in for a cleaning Mowgli’s back teeth are pretty dark so now that I know feline dental is even a thing I think I should try being proactive!!

I’m so glad Leo will be home tonight! Rescue remedy for him and coors light for you ;)

It 's all done now! :bighug: Everything went perfect, you just have to spoil him, make sure he eats and give AB, hope he's good with meds!

Where is this clinic ? Ti-Mousse will have to go back and it's always better when you know someone was happy with the services they got!

What a wonderful night you'll have ! :bighug::bighug: So happy for you, we always stress for nothing but that's the way we are .... :bighug::bighug:

Wonderful news! A feeding tube even if there were extractions is way overkill. Max had a few teeth pulled over the years and ate the next day. I’m glad your boy is coming home. (Probably already home ).

That's what I thought, George had a stack of heath out, he just has his canines and a couple of botto. Teeth and he was eating pretty much when he got home, all be it soft pureed food.
