Tomorrow, 9/2, will mark the 1 year passing of Tuscany. At times it seems so much longer since the "paw alien" claimed her - odd that it wasn't the diabetes that we had been treating for 18 months. The guilty relief of no longer being regimented by the diabetes duties have long passed and the missing my cat has crept into my heart, especailly over this summer.
I have spent a fair amount of time thinking of Tuscany recently, missing her quiet sweetness. I have had several dreams in the last month or so with Tuscany in them - dreams that I wake up from comforted from having "seen" my girl.
The time that we spent on the boat this summer with Josie, a civvie, brought back so many memories of Tuscany traveling with us (and seeming to like it) that I had a kept calling Josie Tuscany. Something that I rarely do at home.
I wanted to take this time on her anniversary of leaving to remember all the of LL kitties that have passed in the last year. I also wanted to again thank everyone that helped us through our diabetes time and who helped console me when it was time to say goodbye.
If you have time, take a look again at the link to Tuscany's Celebration of a Life- a video that Dianne did for us and posted the day we said goodbye. It is a beautiful tribute and I've enjoyed watching it - over and over again.
Keep coming to me in the dreams Tuscany........
