9/1 Need Advice Gravol & Dimenhydrinate are same

can cats have Gravol ???? Dimenhydrinare are the same so has anyone gave this to their cat. I am not going to give unless he vomites more just want to know It beeing a Holiday week end Thanks

you might want to cross post this to the health forum as well.

From what I just Googled, it may be best to consult with the vet - as they do have pet friendly meds instead of gravol.

What did you want to use it for?

Schooch has been vomiting and with Mitzy since getting something to settle her tummy she is doing good. What ever it has 3 of my cats have been ill in the past 2 weeks could have somthing to do with Becky...

The name that most people this side of the border are going to be familiar with is Dramamine. I don't know that this would be the medication for the symptoms you're describing -- it's most commonly used for motion sickness.

You might want to try Pepsid AC. It can be very effective in settling a kitty's stomach. You use 1/4 of a 10mg tablet. (The tablets are small and, of course, challenging to cut.) It sounds like whatever it is that Mitzy had, she's generously passing it around to the rest of your cats.
 
I haven't heard of using Gravol or Dramamine for cats. Pepcid might work. I'm sorry you have so many sick kitties.
