Yesterday started off good, but last night his pancreatitis relapsed - just as it has for the past 6 weeks now

He didn't eat anything last night, despite zolfran/cyproheptadine/bupe - this morning he munched on a few kernels of kibble. I loaded him up with cerenia, zolfran/cyproheptadine, so fingers crossed it kicks in quickly
If it doesn't, looks like syringe feeding is in his future. On top of everything, I may have given him a fur shot - I felt something wet by the injection site which smelled strongly of insulin.

We are traveling today - I really don't want to make him be in a car for 2 hours when he doesn't feel well
If he doesn't perk up soon, fluids and bupe

I hate this disease :(

Aww, poor Murphy! I hope he is better soon. Please give him a smooch and some gentle scritches from me. (((Hugs))) to you, I know it's just as wearing on you as it is on Murphy. :bighug::cat::bighug::cat::bighug:

We all do! It's not an easy illness.
Cerenea works well for me by preventing most pancreatic attacks, or reducing the severity of the ones she still endures. I give TiTI 6 mg every other day - now every 3rd day.
I don't think pancreatitis ever completely goes away, so it's probably best to treat it prophylactically.
Hugs and vines.:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you Sandi, Kris, Lucy, Michelle, and Amy - he's eating a little - trying to get everything together to get going before the big exodus for the weekend

Hi Kathy- cerenia used to be a miracle drug for Murphy - he's been getting 4 mg daily (except skip every 5th day) for well over a year - he hadn't had an attack in a long, long time. I don't know what happened 6 weeks ago - but this time, it just won't go away. His ultrasound and lab work (including the special tests for p'titis) - are not very different from what they were 9 months ago. We just have to try to ride this out (when Muprhy has a flare, I up his cerenia to 8 mg a day). He's also just started on budesonide to decrease the inflammatory response.

Oh Carol I am so sorry that Murphy and you have to go through this:bighug::bighug::bighug: I agree with you this disease is horrible! Most of the time we have no control :arghh::arghh::arghh:
Hopefully Murphy will get this behind him quickly.:bighug::bighug::bighug:
