Poor appetite for his regular food this morning, took one bite and walked away.

Fed 1/3 of a boiled chicken breast and he absolutely devoured it in 30 seconds.

Maybe his appetite is fine but he's refusing to eat his regular food? I've ordered some different flavours of Lily's kitchen (lamb, duck) to see if he will eat those.

I am having a terrible time getting my girl to eat what she is supposed to eat, too. I don’t know Monty’s history, but I’ve noticed cats get annoyed or bored with their foods sometimes. Sometimes they will have an aversion eventually to one, if they have been syringe fed or eaten it during a time when they’ve been really sick. It makes sense. I never touched a food again that I ate as a child because I got sick after I had it.

Hope you have some luck with the new flavors! :)

PMPS 104.

Still struggling to get him to eat anything but boiled chicken but his BG is fine. I'm ok feeding him chicken for a few days but I want him back to normal diet as soon as possible for other good stuff like fat.

I've made two purchases today. He occasionally has soft poops and it sometimes causes these appetite issues as a secondary problem. I've bought fortiflora which arrives in 3 days to see if it fixes his poop and if it helps him eat regular food again.

I've also bought some low carb dry food (8.7% by calories) and I'm going to give him some of that with his regular food (aiming for about 3% total carb intake) to see if raising his carbs from 0% will help lower his BG as per suggestion from Bhooma.

His sister is also a dry food junkie and I've tried and failed to move her over to wet food, I can at least move her from 18% carbs to 9% carbs (she's not diabetic).
