YAY! on yesterday. The day before I had asked Mannie to think green, and it appears that he did. He waited though for the PM cycle, as he knew DGS and I were gone on one of our adventures. What a considerate kitty! Yesterday was nice for Mannie - it was so good to see the greens again. YAY!! Thanks Mannie - you bean lubs you bunches and bunches! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D :-D The kitty choir was back on duty. , as this bean needed all the help she could get this morning. It took several bellows, and few claws, and three sets of cold noses on my face... It was the noses that cinched the deal. We had civility this morning too - no whacking! Mannie gave them both the "glare look" just before his test. Assumption is that he wanted his test to be done quietly, simply, without the antics of his sisters. His glare was their command.   We had a good test feed shoot. Breffis was consumed with much gusto, his bowl was clean before I finished dishing up the civvies. Sheshhhh Mannie: where is the fire.....  It has been a calm morning here in MannieLand - how odd.... All three are now napping, all in the proper places. No doubt Mannie is resting up, waiting for DGS arrival, hoping that BF chicken is on DGS's menu again today... He so loves sharing the wealth. Semi-normalcy in MannieLand. :-D :-D

LABS: The BW, and urinalysis has come in for Mannie, Elsa and BJ. Mannie did great - all good levels, even his BG ( funny that they think 170's is awesome), and this was the first time ever that his urine came back without any glucose spillage in the urine. WOW! impressed! Elsa did OK too. Her whatever they are (sorry, can't remember the name) are still elevated, indicating an allergy - well duh! that is a given with her... BJ did not fair so well... her renal values are elevated, just above he acceptable level. So, for now we will change her diet to a kidney friendly diet, see if that brings things back in line, and retest her renal values in a month to see if a diet change has helped. if not, we will think about fluids. For now, her dental is on hold until the kidney thing is resolve. The other two are all set for dentals, or will be once I make the appts. I hope to pick up their labs results today, and will update the labs line in Mannie's signature line one I get them.

DGS duties for me through Friday. Hopefully today we are off on another adventure, providing Mannie gives us a permission slip - paws crossed! I know that I probably won't get to condos, but know that I am thinking of you all, and your furkids! THINK GREEN KITTIES!!! Healing vines to all our sick kitties who need then.

My friends.... OH BOY! I feel great!! What shall we do today? I think I wanna go hang gliding - ya know, soar with the eagles and stuff, feel the breezes in my whiskers, and fur... SWEET! maybe we can have a cookout afterwards? What'd'ya guys think? Let me know - I am ready for anything! ~~ Mannie

Hey kitties: this just in from Attie!!! Let's go! : "Hey guys ...you hear dat? Da' bean is planning a cook-out this weekend! Woot! C'mon over and let's go fishing in da' mighty Rocky River again! Fresh caughts fishes on the fire! Maybe some of can go hunting in the woods for dem chipmunks to add as appetizers, and we can turn over a few of the rocky rocks for crayfishes and fresh water river muscles too. We gots lots of works to do to get ready for Saturdaz cook-outs! ~~Attie " We can take he bus maybe... ~~ Mannie

Re: 9/1 Mannie AMPS 172

Hi guys ... beautiful numbers for mannie yesterday! I'm so glad to hear that his urine tests came back with no glucose in them, that's wonderful! I hope that the kidney diet helps out BJ so you don't have to do fluids, but I know if it comes to that, you'll do just fine .. Hope you guys have a great day!

Re: 9/1 Mannie AMPS 172, +2 193

Hi Michelle, nice day and pm cycle for Mannie and so glad he gave you permission to go on that hike with DGS yesterday, and I bet he does the same today. Glad all the BW turned out fine, except BJ's renal values. Maggie has stage two renal disease, and so far I've tried several lower phosphorus foods with her and no success. Next Vet and BW visit the Vet will discuss further, but she's feeling great and does drink a fair amount of water. Glad to hear choir kitty was on duty. Have a wonderful day,

Hey Mannie, oh boy the weekend fishing sounds great, and I'm up for hang gliding or anything today. Poor Rusty will need a visit from us and some chicken soup. He has one of those Vetty visits. And we need to visit Tarragon at the hospital, too. See ya later, Maggie

Re: 9/1 Mannie AMPS 172, +2 193

Hey guys! What a great day your big guy gave yesterday huh? He loves his mamma bean for sure. Thank goodness the kitty choir was on duty. Hate to have you oversleep on a DGS day!

Good to hear that the labs came back good, other than BJ's renal values. Hope that is nothing too serious.

Have a wonderful day with DGS. You always do. I look forward to the pictures every day.

Hey Mannie. My mama said you wanted to come visit me. That would be great. It's getting kinda boring here. They have this thing stuck in my arm and it keeps putting cold stuff through my body. To liven things up a little, I refused the first 4 cans of breffis they offered me this morning. I heard the vet lady tell some young girl to run to wally mart and get 6 different kinds of fancy feast. That will keep things interesting for an hour or so. My mama is coming to see me at lunch and rock me. Other than that, I will just be sitting here watch them run around. Tarragon

Re: 9/1 Mannie AMPS 172, +2 193, +4 136

Blue Mannie again today, I hope this means you get to go on your hike w/ Nicholas.Sorry to hear about BJ's numbers, but at least you caught it early.

Oh, fishing sounds fun! Yea! Big cookout for the weekend! -- Tess

Re: 9/1 Mannie +11 144, PMPS 146

146 @ PMPS... and the flat blue cycle continues...

Thanks to everyone that visited Mannie while I cared for DGS today. We went to a lake in the heart of the city here, hiked walked an urban trail. Urban trails aren't my fav thing - I'd rather be in the mountains, but this one surprised me. It is small, but well maintained, with a nice loop trail around the lake. There is an offshoot trail that connects with and Inter-urban trail that runs from Seattle to Everett. We had a good time. Dgs loved the ducks, the water - one happy little guy. Mission accomplished.

Hi Devon - hey - thanks! I was happy too - first time, since DX, that his urine has come back glucose free. :-D :-D :-D Thanks too on BJ. paws crossed!

Hi Lisa - Thanks!! Me too - very pleased with the BW. YAY!, and progress!!

Hi Ann, and Miss Maggie - yep, Mannie did well, and he once again gave us a permission slip. He has been surfin' the 140's since this morning... what a guy! thanks too on BJ... we will see how it goes. The diet will change and hopefully it will help. The food with BJ will be interesting... hopefully she will like it. It is funny in a way - three cats, three different diets.. no wonder things are such a three ring circus here in the morning....

Hi Melissa- thanks for the visit, especially with all you have going on now. I am so glad that tarragon is improving! Thx on DGS - and the photos. We have such a good time - he gets to be outside which he voes, and I get to go to some rally cool places. a win-win! -- and an affirmative on the kitty choir. I really do rely on them way too much: generally not a good thing.   -- and yes on yesterday - hoping for another tonight. paws crossed. thx too on the BW, and I hope we an help BJ with her kidney issues... paws crossed there too.

Hi Ann, and Miss Tess - yep - Blue Mannie again today - nice even surf on the 140's. and yes - DGS and I did take off, but it was inner-city stuff, and very close to home. We needed to be home by noon, as his dad was coming early to pick him up: lucky guy only had to work a half day. :-D and thx on BJ - I hope so... we will do what w can. She acts just fine, just alot of water drinking...

Hey Tess - yup! big cookout at Attie's - ALL WEEKEND! AWESOME! we gets to grill and fish and all kinds of stuff! Sweet oh!!!! KTSS for Tarragon tonight, OK? ~~ Mannie

HEY TARRAGON!!! You must be feeling better - you is on the 'puter! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D :-D  We will come and visit you then, an bring you lots of chicken soup - best medicine there is.   On the thing in your arm. dude: uhhh... does it hurt? smooth move on the fuds thing man - good job! hey - smart move to get them to bring you good stuff. Awes dome! hey - that is SO COOL that your mama bean will come at lunch and rock you and stuff. That is the bestest, ya know? You be good, OK? We are on our way to visit... ~~ Mannie

Hi Maggie! Doesn't Attie's sound like FUN!?!?! I can hardly wait!! and we can grill too!! OH! Right on the KTSS for Rusty... he gots to go to the vetty, so we must pay him a visit. and Tarragon - he is so sick, but I think our chicken soup helped - he is a little better! See you soon!! ~~ Mannie

AND completely OT. I had meant to include these with the AM post, spaced and totally forgot. Here are some photos of where DGS and I went yesterday: our aborted mountain hike, that turned into a river visit... Good times!

Re: 9/1 Mannie +11 144, PMPS 146, +2 119

Hi Michelle & Mannie, Good news about Mannie's bloodwork. I'm sorry that BJ has elevated renal values and I hope that a change in diet will help her. GREAT pic of the trees in the clouds, and I loved the one of Nicholas on the shore of the lake. What a happy little guy!
Have a lovely evening,
Ella & Rusty

Mannie, I got back from the vettybean, who was really nice. But she took my blood and my pee to analyze! And she clipped off the tips of my toenails!! She's going to clean my teeth later this month. My mamabean says that might bring my bg down. It would be great if you and KTSS came to visit me tonight, but my vetty smell isn't bad. Maybe we can all go to visit Tarragon and bring him some chicken soup. Can't wait for Attie's party this weekend. See ya soon,
Rusty

Re: 9/1 Mannie +11 144, PMPS 146, +2 119

Another lovely day for Mannie. I'm so glad all his bloodwork came back so great....and urine, too.

Eosinophils elevated for Elsa? So sorry to hear about the renal values for BJ. If she doesn't like the kidney diets, let me know and I'll send you the food tables showing the lower phosphorus level foods. They aren't as low as the kidney diets but they are better foods and still are lower than most foods.

Sorry to get to your condo so late. Love the photos and that Nicholas is the darned cutest baby!!!

Re: 9/1 Mannie +11 144, PMPS 146, +2 119, +3 95

95 @ +3 SWEET! AWESOME and WOOT!

Hi Ella - YAY on Mannie's BW - I was really pleased - nothing out of the ordinary, just nice BW. thanks too on BJ. It';s tough when they get older... but I am hopeful that we caught it early enough that maybe we can help her. Time will tell. THX on the photos - I loved the cloud photo (I took dozens....) too. I love hikes in those type on conditions - they can be so beautiful. But.. it wasn't the best conditions for packing around a baby.  And yep - DGS is a happy guy - we try ad go out somewhere everyday as he is so happy when he is out. A ton of fun!

Hi Sienne - yep, very glad to see them. It's nice to have him posting some greens again, and staying more or less, low blue. YAY!

Hi Marje - me too on the BW, and the urine. so happy that for the first time no glucose in the urine. YAY! and thank you - it is the Eosinophils for Elsa - I never can remember that word - I get as far as eosi....  It was expected ... we've been fighting this sensitivity thing for a while now. and oh my on BJ.... i was not surprised to hear it. after having so many cats with renal disease I knew the signs... her water intake was off the charts.... so, we try to work with the foods, fluids if the fuds change isn't enough. and thanks on the fuds list... we tried the K-D (yeah, I know... Science diet) tonight. she ate it, but you could tell it wasn't what she wanted. -- and no worries on the condos.... it is the ay it is for me too. just too much to do when DGS is here, and I can't get here til way late... and then I miss so many people...

Rusty! DUDE! :o  :o  :o they took your bodily fluids?????? Man, I am so sorry... I know how you feel - the same thing happened to me the other day... I gots to get a dental too!!!! I DON'T WANNA!!!! The last one was so horrible... I was weird for two days! well it will be better this time.... hey - YES on the KTSS for you and for tarragon. We gits to bring him some soup, ya know? See you soon!!~ Mannie ~~ and a BIG YES on Attie's party!

Re: 9/1 Mannie +11 144, PMPS 146, +2 119, +3 95, +4 88

WOOT!!! Way to go Mannie! It was so nice of you to wait for the bean to get home. she should give you really good fuds tonight.

All ready for KTSS! I'm bringing some rosemary for Tarragon to sniff. It should mask all the smells at the vetty place! -- Tess

Re: 9/1 Mannie PMPS 146, +2 119, +3 95, +4 88, +5 95

95 @ +5. YAY!! Still green!! One more test at +6 to make sure he's on that board before I go to bed...

Hi Ann - wasn't that gracious of him? always wits for the bean... what a guy! hmmmmmmm on the fuds... I should have! it was wellness chicken. :o    :-x (the last one Mannie inserted)
