Good Morning World! Welcome to our home! Last Condo

DAKOTA
AMPS 189!

WOOHOO!! Another BLUE AMPS! Go baby Go! Numbers yesterday were awful but Snow was missing - Dakota was VERY upset, he hissed at the empty carrier after searching it. Now that Snow's back home, his numbers have gone back down. 4 P's in place, he was too upset to play. Snow still smells like vettybean - Doc keeps trying to clean him but Snow isn't cooperating. It's SO nice to see better numbers for sweet boy altho' he's still bouncing off them. We'll back down to .5 when this bounce breaks and see if we can see less bouncing. We test for ketones every day....

Snow developed another bowel obstruction Saturday afternoon late - couldn't do anything about it here so we made one of those awful flying trips to the ER vet. They gave him an enema and dislodged some of it, kept him overnight as they also started him on Reglan (substitute for Cisipride) to help muscles contract harder moving food/poop thru. We brought him home yesterday morning. We emptied all the emergency funds AND the grocery fund to break him out....beans and rice will reign here for the next couple of weeks at least. We're lucky that the local vet hospital was open, the bill for the other ER would have been about $400, this one was bit less than $200. We're still doing Miralax, increasing the pumpkin dose and continuing the Reglan for a week or so to try to clean out all the hard stuff that's still in there. I don't particularly care for Reglan with cats but the Cisipride price has gone thru the roof - $65 for a month's supply.

I never got back to post Spike's silly truck sleeping position the other day so here 'tis - how can this be comfortable?

Thoughts and prayers for all needing them today. BIG HUGS to all that visit! Hoping to find at least some Friskies canned somewhere today....

So sorry to hear about Snow! i'm glad he is hoe I hope feeling better. WOW! on Doc's numbers! Poor thing missing his buddies.

I'm so sorry to hear about Snow, also. Sending tons and tons of healing vines, positive thoughts and prayers your way, and I wish for him to make a full and speedy recovery.

Yes, cats can, and do, sleep in very weird positions. Apparently they're comfy enough, otherwise they'd move.

Hi Lyresa,
More prayers and vines for Snow. I hope he'll be all better soon. Poor Doc, thinking that his buddy was gone. He has a wonderful AMPS today.

Lots of hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

I'm glad Snow is home and Dakota's numbers are better. How sweet that Dakota was missing Snow. I hope Snow continues to get better. I love the picture of Spike's sleeping spot.

I think Spike looks comfortable sleeping in the sun :)

Sending vines to Snow to feel better.
That's so sweet that Snow and Dakota are such buddies.
