Good Morning, Lantus Land!
Last night and this morning both saw some bad and wholly inexplicable battery karma - when we tried to get our PMBG last night and the AMBG this morning, all we got was error warnings from the meter. So we put in a new battery. Same thing. Either it was a bad battery batch (say that five times fast) or the meter was mocking us. Ah well. We drove down to Hout Bay and bought a new battery, plus a spare one. And hey presto, we have a (+2). Now all that's left to deal with is the fact that my neat-freak tendencies sucker punch me every time I look at Karre's spreadsheet and I then find myself distinctly discombobulated.
Even so, His Kajesty's WCR is excellent. All 5 Ps present, especially the one that stands for PURRRRRS. I wonder how he'll like the Liv-A-Little chicken treats I've finally managed to order! Of our four cats, Luca is actually the one who loves chicken the most - he'll take it raw, cooked, boiled, here and there and anywhere, so to speak. Well, we'll see when they get here. Should only take a month or so
Yesterday was, of course, Karre's 6th OTJ Day and, excepting the meter mishap in the evening, it was a good one. Today, we're at ONE WHOLE WEEK OF OTJ!
Thank you all for your kind words and the lovely little dancing cats and whatnot so many of you posted! I never actually made it back to the board yesterday, so today will do: Thanks, Devon, Ann, Melissa, Liz, Leslie, Wendy, Roni, Camille, Marje, Ella and Julie! And thank you also to Libby - not just for visiting but for making me feel less like a sufferer of feline-specific OCD
And thanks, Melanie - I have every intention of finding a way to stick around this time!
Alas, no funny pictures this morning - I have run out of material from the African Signage book. But, for those of you who may miss the laughs, I am going bookstore-hopping (the geek's version of bar-hopping) later today. Who knows, maybe I'll find something
Our Emperor is sleeping peacefully. His (+3) is 5.3/95 - a nice surf in the upper greens. I think I'll maybe sneak in one more test before PMBG.
For now, it's off to the bookstore(s).
Happy cycling!
Jane
