8 hours after insulin shot hypo then spike

Always, always feed food at least 30-60 minutes before you give the NPH type insulins like Novolin N or Humulin N. You want to make sure your kitty will keep the food down, before you give these types of insulins, That is because they start to take effect very fast and drop the BG( blood glucose) levels really low.
A hypo does often make a cat more sensitive to insulin. Please drop the dose down to a safer level.
The high numbers, you just have to wait them out sometimes.
