still no blues although I wasnt home much today :( I will do a +3 and +6 tonite and maybe we will see something then.

i peeked at Tiggy's ss and am wondering - what was the meter you were using before and what's the new one?

Before I was using a freestyle freedom lite but now I am using a bayer contour USB because I was told by this forum that the freestyle was Inaccurate on cats...

oh - i wondered. we had used it too - it sucked making the change and seeing how much more insulin was needed to compensate. i'm glad you found out early and made the change. hopefully you'll start seeing some better responses soon. you might want to add that info to your ss.

Unfortunately it's not that early, he's been diabetic since march, I need to update my SS, I only put recent readings since I started having issues with them ie march through July he was pretty good but suddenly went odd and thats where my SS started. I should really update it although my readings march through July were sporadic and of course with the freestyle meter so I can't trust them anyway.

At this stage I just would like some blues or greens on his SS...

You think I Should add the meter type to the SS is that what you mean?

yes, that's what i mean. there is a characteristic look to the freestyle lite meters on the spreadsheet. typically they are flat yellows - at least the ones i've seen and punkin's were like that. where you noted "switch meters" or whatever the comment was, i'd just say from Freestyle Lite to Contour. that tells a lot to people who look at the ss.

if you have previous data, i'd add it. even if it's just to add a first line on the date of diagnosis and the BG at diagnosis.

oh i just looked at his profile - what a beauty! absolutely love his eye markings - and yes, he looks maine coon- like. punkin is maine coon blend too - they are such great cats!
