Good Morning Lantus Land! ~O) ~O) ~O)

Tigger's 8/7 Condo

Sorry, was too busy to post yesterday, hope I didn't miss much, & you are all healthy & happy & many new kitties are ready to go OTJ!!

Re. OTJ - not Tigger, yet! Seems like we have a good 2-3 cycles around 2 units, then !WHAM! back to level high 200's & 300's.......(Take your own advice, Suzanne!)...... I know, I know - patience - :YMSIGH: Just sometimes feels that with our 6 week delay starting Lantus Tigger will never be able to go OTJ.......

Fattened Tigger's already fattened dose again this AM - will see if he responds to his new tactical warfare. I'm using calipers the last 3 doses, don't know how much impact that's had, either.

But- it's another beautiful sunny day here! Am working on the 'puter this AM & babysitting 3 y/o Grandson (with errands & an ice cream store visit in the afternoon) till bedtime - then movie night (some sort of Mommy-approved cartoon movie) & popcorn & lots of bedtime stories.

Sending Green vines, Healing vines, Appy vines, Poopy vines, Hairball vines out to all in need - have a good one, Friends!

Re: 8/9 Tigger AMPS=340 -fattened dose again

Sounds like a nice day planned. Where do you go for ice cream?

You know on 2u it might be better to try taking full .25u increases, rather than fattening. That's more an approach for cats that are on less than 1u or oldtimers that just need a little adjustment.

Re: 8/9 Tigger AMPS=340 -fattened dose again

Ann, you must be psychic, thanks! I was just going to ask that.

The original idea had been that since Tigger went below 50 @ 2.25 units, we reduced him to 2.0. Then when that was getting 'lean', we fattened him up a little, which worked for 3 cycles.

I didn't have time to post yesterday, & working with the calipers now I was afraid to just 'bump him up' 1/4 unit w/o getting advice from you experienced Members.

I guess the good thing about calipers is that I can make a .25 increase on the digital mm. w/o having to make it 2.0/2.25/2.5, etc.!
