Good morning LL!

All 5 p's present this morning. I fattened the dose so we will see what that does. Tarragon has been nice and flat the last few days (other than the certain kibble incident that we won't talk about :? ). Of course it is in the yellows. I am hoping the extra drop or two will bring him down into the flat blues. After 5 months, I finally feel like he is leveling off and not bouncing from one end to the other every day.

The trip to Iowa is called off. Mason needs to be moved back to college by Saturday of this week for work week at his fraternity (instead of next Tuesday), so he and I are going to move his stuff over to Norman on Thursday and get his room settled. There is a new huge outlet mall in OKC that opened last week and we are hoping to hit that on our way back home and do some shopping. It seems like the summer has flown and I am not quite ready for him to leave again. My DH is having a very hard time with it, but we will settle back into our empty nest routine soon enough. The animals always act up once he leaves so I expect Tarragon to spike this weekend.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good luck with the fat dose. It is nice to finally see them stop bouncing and flattening out, isn't it? I didn't think we'd ever see it happen with Trixie...now I feel like she's "bouncing" when she hits 139  !

I'm with you...I can't believe summer is coming to a close. I'm sure you feel it much more, with Mason heading off back to school. Hopefully Tarragon will transition OK.

Have a great day!!

Hope the new dose does the trick :-D

Hope humans and four-legged beings do well with your son's back-to-school {{hug}}

Re: 8/9 Tarragon AMPS 248

aww change is hard, for humans and furbabies. Hope the transition to empty nesting for another school year goes easy on all of you and your son enjoys his time at school.

Good luck with the fattened dose, hope Tarragon sees those blues

Hi Melissa, good luck with the fattened dose, and I hope this helps bring Tarragon's numbers down. Hey Tarragon, no more sneaking kibble! Good luck with moving DS. That is hard on the furbabies, as well as you and DH. The stop at the Mall sounds nice. Have a nice day.

Re: 8/9 Tarragon AMPS 248

Hope the "fat" helps on his dose. I understand about the transition.....DN went home and I swear, Zoe was depressed....kept going to her room and looking for her, didn't want to play  Things are better now. Good luck on the busy weekend....and getting your son settled....safe travels.

Re: 8/9 Tarragon AMPS 248

Awww poor DH and Tarragon, you didn't say how you felt tho Melissa, i'm sure you'll be sad to see him go as well.

And Tarragon got into the crunchies?!?!? :o If only they knew how bad it is for them.

Re: 8/9 Tarragon AMPS 248

How do I feel? Well, I am pretty sure he should just live at home with his mother forever. I am the person who gave him life after all. I have asked many times and he keeps telling me no. The nerve!!   Seriously, I will miss him like the sun, but I know he needs to get back and get on with his life. That is what we raised him to do and he is doing a great job at it. DH and I are just very thankful that we had this summer with him because it will probably be the last that he actually gets to live at home.

Now try to convince Tarragon of that. It is hard on both of my boys (Tarragon and Charlie). Charlie ran away last year to try and find Mason a couple of hours after he left with his car packed up. I chased that dog for almost a mile in flip flops before my DH finally got the jeep and got him. Tarragon is Mason's baby, so he is just a real brat for a few weeks - spraying, biting, etc. It requires a LOT of extra attention for both of them. Now Queen Turnup could care less as long as it isn't DH leaving.

Re: 8/9 Tarragon AMPS 248

aw, i'm with ya. this is the season for the kids to leave. wait. i have one that just moved back in with me. you never know if mason might end up with you after he graduates. gotta admit i kinda like having my son home - some of the time.

the plus side to the empty nest, you can run around naked as much as you want without worry that your kid might see you & it might cause permanent brain injury to your child.
