Finally - a blue. I am letting him out of isolation more and more. Not sure if I am ready to permanently remove the baby gates though. Still need to trust that he won't pee on my rocker-recliner if another cat uses his box. May lose the baby gates for the weekend and see how he does. I tried to poke around the flank area for an alternate shot site - he shows me his fangs when I touch him there so I will just have to keep rotating around the shoulder scruff.

Keep on touching him all over his body. My semi feral hated to be touched and always ran and hid. She is currently sleeping on a shelf next to my laptop, sliding off, so she just had to reposition herself. She loves those two handed full body massages now. Took a while to get her to that point though.

The more you touch a kitty in various spots, with different methods, soft touch, 5 finger massage, brushing, playing with their ears, touching their feet, etc., the more they get used to feeling and accepting your attentions.

Snoball is looking good in blue today!

Yeah Sno likes to be brushed all over. He gets a full body brushing as his treat after each BG test, instead of a nibble. We even lay on the floor at night so I can rub his belly and massage under his front legs. I can touch him anywhere then... but not with a needle in my hand.

Well, with all that brushing, at least he shouldn't get any mats in his fur! ;-)
