Good morning All!

It's day 2 of the new school year. Let's hoping the students are as good as they were yesterday and hope that Shasta EATS like she did yesterday. Hated seeing the pink number yesterday, but it eased my mind a little thinking that she maybe didn't get down too low. This getting up early to poke and shoot her is very strange. I usually never have time in the morning to get on the computer. Now I find that that I have ~40 minutes to play. I would still rather be sleeping, but I love my little girl and will sacrifice some sleep for her! Have a good day!!!

Thanks! She decided to slide to blue right before I left for work, so I left a few more teaspoons of mid-carb for her throughout the day...just in case!

Have a great day!

I KNOW, RIGHT?! AND she had polished off her entire breakfast (5% carbs - 1 oz) which is kind of unheard of and she still dropped! All on a skinny dose of .75u (really, it looked like a .50u!!!!) ohmygod_smile nailbite_smile

What is this cat doing to me?!?!?!?!?!

I hope she's hearing all of your eating encouragements! Thanks for the reassurances and well wishes! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Question...I just recently started giving Shasta her dosage of benazepril after taking about a month hiatus. The past 3 days, she has received the benazepril, her BG numbers take considerable dives (of the numbers I can chart), even as I feed her main meals of 5-6% carb food w/ teaspoons of 13% mixed in.

Does anyone out there know if there is a relationship w/ the benazepril?

Re: 8/9 Shasta PMPS=288

Got home just in time for PMPS...man, this is a rough schedule. I could have stayed in my office another hour or so. Instead, I come home to a grumpy cat...or maybe she's just a really aggressive player (getting even for all those ear pokes and insulin jabs!)

She's barely had any of her chicken dinner (the same kind she scarfed down at breakfast.) Oh wait, as I'm typing she finally decides to go eat! yippee! Either she's never very full at dinner because of the snacks I leave out or she really hates the medicine I have to mix in her dinner (atenolol). Side note: she doesn't mind the medicine when it's in her Friskies!

Will get my +1 and then head out to feed the horses.

haha...the only drama she's given me tonight is her extreme crankiness while being poked. She's becoming less tolerant w/ each poke...regardless of having treats or not having treats. Snotty cat! grr_red

Take your pokes or NO FRISKIES FOR YOU! :-x

Hey, Deborah -

Sorry Shasta is giving you a hard time tonight. I think they just want to make sure we know who's in charge!

NICE PM cycle!

Hope you're having a great night -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Thanks Libby! Her numbers are great tonight, but I'm pretty sure it's only because she STILL has not finished her dinner and it's +5!!! I'm wanting to be stubborn and not give her any more food or "yummy" Friskies until she finishes her dinner (learned that from my dad  ) because I really want her to eat all of her medicine that is in her dinner! I know she's hungry, though.

I'll break down and add some other food to her unfinished dinner and hope she eats it before I go to bed soon!

Hope you guys and Hershey are doing well tonight!

How about some Parmesan or freeze dried chicken dust on Miss Snotty Cat's food? Will she not take her atenolol in a pill pocket?

I hope she will get over the pokes...poor girl...she's prolly mad cuz you went back to work

Re: 8/9 Shasta PMPS=288; +1=286; +2=216; +3=142; +4=109; +5=

Earlier, I sprinkled some Pure Bites Turkey (which she will take my fingers off for...I have several holes in my finger thanks to her LOVE for these treats), but she didn't really care. I just added some 3% FF Turkey Giblets to what was left from dinner and she's finally eating! I have Parm and Fortiflora, but the last time I tried either...she could care less!

I'm afraid to get up and brush my teeth because I don't want to disrupt her eat with my noise!!!!

Still eating...

Good night all! Sleep well!!!
