Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty has a better AMPS this morning, so maybe he is getting re-settled into what I hope is a replica of his 1.5skinny units as 'measured' on the Monoject syringes (we switched to Terumos, which have a narrower barrel, and are measuring with the digital calipers).

Rusty had a good night sleeping with his beans/ We were awoken in the middle of the night for the second night in a row by fantastic animal cries, almost sounded like huge birds squawking, but I think they might have been mating cries of some creatures--maybe porcupines? Will have to ask one of my friends today.

The beans are paddling Round Lake today (in a wilderness area about 50 miles south of here), so Rusty will be home alone and holding the fort. He hopes his pals will visit him later. Rain and storms in the prediction, but not until later today, so we will take full raingear and hope we make it off the water before any storms arise.

bbl in the late afternoon. Rusty has his food in his automat and the radio for "company" (until his pals get here).

Hey Rusty, that's a nice number you're starting your day off with. I bet your mamabean leaves something yummy for you to snack on. Checkers said he'd be by later to keep you company. Maybe some of your buddies will be dropping by, and bring some goodies to munch on too.

Hi guys .. it's nice to see some lower numbers from rusty .. hoping this is a sign of good things to come .. hopefully you can get your paddle in without the rain or storms hitting you guys .. we are getting the heavy rain right now .. Have a great day!

YAY! More Rusty-like numbers. What a relief I am sure. Good luck with the terumos - sounds like you are getting it to where you want it to be.

Enjoy the paddle. I too hope you make it off the lake before the storms hit. Good idea on the rain gear. I never hike without mine. One just never knows for sure what you will get here, weatherwise.

oh wow on the mid-night wake up call. interesting, and I hope you can figure out what it was.

Hi Ella, nice blue AMPS for Mannie today. I bet the calipers sure are helping getting the correct dose! Have a great time today, sounds like such a nice time. Thanks for visiting us yesterday and for the lb vines.

Hi again,
Rusty may have gone green today, but only he knows for sure. He was happy to see us when we got back home at +11 (we stopped at our friends' house for refreshments). We spent the hour before PMPS outdoors. Rusty ate about half of the food we left for him. This is his pattern (I always leave out extra food just in case he gets really hungry, and I always leave a little FF T&G, even on days when I don't think he will go low. He enjoys this special treat: the FF T&G is always cleaned up!).

We were lucky on our paddle. It was very calm (too calm) when we put the boats in and sure enough, we heard the distant thunder just after we finished lunch. So we got paddling again in a hurry and the storm was slow in arriving, so we made it off the lake before the storm hit. We paddled fast, straight down the lake rather than going into the various small bays to enjoy the scenery. On the way to our friends' house after the paddle there were huge flooded areas to drive through, so we were really fortunate that we didn't get caught in that downpour!

Off to visit some condos and to watch some of the Olympics. Wishing you all a good evening.

Glad you didnt get caught in a big storm on the water!! There will be many more enjoyable days for you to paddle and enjoy..Rusty is getting back to his normal numbers..Maybe he doesnt like the many changes of scenery you give him!!! and That raises his numbers????
Moonie usually eats part of what I give her, rarely all of her food... These cats could make us crazy nailbite_smile nailbite_smile

Looks like Rusty is poised to take a dip in the lagoon tonight. Go Rusty! I was thinking about how Rusty always gives you headbutts and I thought, maybe Zener would like headbutts too. So I started giving them to him and he seems to like it. :-D We are using the calipers for measuring the dose. I hope we are getting a more consistent dose but we don't really know. That's great that you got in a nice paddle today before the storm. What a great day!

I'm sitting near an open window right now, with a storm going on . I love the smells of a summer rain. The thunder is rolling nicely, and a bit of lightning, not too close.
I wonder what you heard last night. I have a bobcat that actually comes in my yard and 'screams'. I haven't seen it, but it comes pretty close under the window, only at night; the cats don't know what to make of it. It sounds really scary.

Wasn't that diving amazing tonight?
