Good afternoon everyone!

Awoke with that crappy, even worse headache this morning. Ughh... Throwing all kinds of medicine at it, trying to get it to go away...

Rocky is doing AWESOME! We had another "outing" this morning. I just opened the door, and he was in a mad dash down the hall. When the other cats saw him coming the ran to him. Then, it was slow motion time... Everyone was still-- :? --- and Rocky quietly turned around, and tip-toed back into his room. I prepared his food and then went to go see him. The bathroom door was still wide open. He had gone all the way into the back of his cage. (He's had a cage in there that has been somewhat of a cool den for him this entire time. I ONLY had the cage door closed the first 4 months while I was treating him for ringworm. I couldn't have him playing footsies with the other kitties under the door.)

Rocky is getting there, but he's not yet ready to spend time exploring with his tribe. Little by little. I'm sure he is like, "Hey, what the heck is this?? I thought I was the only one??"

His BG was 55 this morning. That's staying very good. I've still been crazy busy, so haven't even had the time to test him more if I wanted to do so. Thank you all for you continued well wishes and cheers. :YMHUG:

Thanks again, everyone!!

His PMBG was VERY good, considering that he was eating the meal that i had set out for him at 3:30pm when I came to take his blood at 7pm. ohmygod_smile So, he got the pokey right after his meal.. Makes me wonder if he might have even been lower before eating.

It has not been a good day for me. I am so stressed out and worried about a colony of cats where I trapped that litter last week. I met an angry old lady there today, and she barked at me, "What are you doing?" and I said, "Feeding cats." She said, "Thet crap on my porch, and they are all over the place." I didn't want to get into an argument with her, but FYI, cats do not NORMALLY take a dump on someone's porch and leave it there. That is a dog thing to do. Cats like to bury their evidence. Anyway, it's typically what a cat hater says to me, and I always assume that they are lying but I do my best to not become confrontational with these ignorant people.

I told her that I would do everything I can to keep the cats out of her yard, and would meet with her later. Here's what gets me, it's as if everyone who hates cats believes that THEY are the only ones with feral cats in their neighborhood, oh-- AND IT'S SOMEONE ELSE'S DUTY TO GET RID OF THEM!! You know, dump them on a farm, or in the country, or anywhere but in their own neighborhood. Here's the other thing-- Feral cats live were there are MICE AND RATS, where there are a lot of people living really close together.

That is my rant for tonight. You have feral cats in your neighborhood, help them, don't hurt them, and they will help you too.
