Yeah, bounces can take up to 6 cycles to clear. We are on cycle 4 this morning.

Speaking of that, I need to leave the house next Monday at 11 am for DH's surgery, so need to make sure Leo is nowhere near a hypo event. Any suggestions?
I'll have a similar situation, 9/30, except there will be no PM shot. I'll need to leave all kinds of food out and hope the other two cats don't eat it all at once.

11am would be how long after his shot and when will you be back? Will anyone be home to feed him when aren't there?

No one will be here to feed him until I return home, time undetermined. If I leave out an AF, who knows which kitty eats it... UNLESS I put him in the laundry room with door shut. (Box available in there, too.)

Let's see how he fares till then. On that day I would test at +2 and +3 and feed higher carbs, if necessary. You could also shoot 30 mins early so that you can get a +4 before you head out.
And yes, putting him in the laundry room would be a good idea if he's green and needs access to food.

Just had the pre-op call for DH's surgery sched for Mon, 8/15... CORRECTION: Hayden needs to be at the surgery site at 10:30, so an hour earlier. I leave the house at 10am, which will be +2.75.

How about shooting 30 mins early that morning? You can shoot at your usual time in the evening.
