Brian will be around to test tomorrow, but not on Wednesday. I'm wondering what would happen if we shot a drop tomorrow a.m. if he's over 150 (or any number you recommend). Well, I know what will happen...his numbers will drop! (or he'd come in at 145 at AMBG and make his beans crazy second-guessing themselves...probably a better bet) I would imagine he'd dip pretty low pretty fast and we'd have to do a lot of testing and LC feeding to keep him in a happy, green place. If we're confident doing it, would this benefit him in any way?

I'd love to have him OTJ sooner rather than later, but not at the risk of rushing what can't be rushed. This flat-ish day of blues just make me want to take action. But maybe that's silly. He could just as likely be green tomorrow. This IS Johnny Cat we're talking about. If sitting on my hands is the recommended course, I'm more than happy to oblige.

Or could we try just putting the needle in the bottle and pulling it out...and "shooting" that. Feel free to tell me to be quiet.

for now I'm fairly happy if he stays blue. But I see what you're saying, shooting at 150 would be tempting. What do you want to do?

I hope Johnny is like 67 in the morning so we don't have to worry about it.

Well, I go back and forth. Part of me wants to shoot the drop if he's high enough to feel comfortable doing so. And the other half is trying to remind myself that I can't control everything and I shouldn't always control things just because I can. Deep, eh? This DB therapy is awesome...and free!

Well, have you tried waving the syringe over his back? That might work...
Wonder which side of you will win that battle that you are having! :-D

I may resort to waving the bottle passed him again, Pat. And lol about my two halves...at least they get along well enough to post under one screen name, so there's only one thread, right?

Janice, I don't give advice. I had to laugh at your saying you want to control it just because you can. :-D
Ordinarily I am a control freakette...(hey, I'm Irish), but with this sugar dance, suddenly I've turned into a big baby, asking advice before doing anything.
I love that photo of Johnny, by the way. :-D

Thanks for visiting, Barb! Irish and German here, so "control" is definitely encoded in my DNA, too. Your Checkers is a handsome guy too! I love his white nose! Too cute.

Brian just reminded me of something. I'll note it on the spreadsheet, but we apparently didn't leave *enough* food out last night. Johnny jumped up to his post (dresser) around 6:15 and started meowing and knocking things around....which means no food. I woke up and then Brian woke up (after I said "Brian?" LOL) and he went down to put a little food out. He's a good Brian! No test number beforehand, so AMBG was about 1.5 hours after eating. Sorry, forgot to mention that.
