I know these are really good numbers, but boy it concerns me to shoot low when I have to go to work!

I'm getting readings between 99 and 109. I got 99 twice and 109 once. Stalled until until 7:05. I am going to be an hour late for work but I can't wait any longer and I don't want to ruin her nice run...sooooo....here's hoping she is ok today while I am gone since I chose to shoot.

And..I just want to say..freaking insulin needles are SHARP. I stuck myself after the shoot...literally went to put the cap on and shove the needle through the cap and into ME.

Happy Friday!

Janet:

Do you have a timed feeder or a way to leave food out for Izzy? That can help to ease your worries.

If I may, the way you've noted the times on your SS are confusing. It should read:
  • +12 - 99
  • +12.25 - 109
  • +12.5 - 99 or this could be noted as your AMPS
Is the 115 your +1? If so, that's fine. (When you put in the actual time in one of the +columns, it doesn't read like it's the real time. So when you post "+6.25" what that means to me is that you were thinking about shooting at your +6 time, not at 6:00 AM.)

Re: 8/9 Izzy apms 99 retest 12/15 109. hate to shoot low.

Ugh. Yes that was my brain combining my 6:15am etc (what my clock said) and the generic spreadsheet time! Seriously scrambling my brain cells.

Yes you translated my craziness correctly in the amps box. The +1 time was taken at 7:30 am.

I'm not sure if I am translating things correctly now or not. Do the +time change based on the shoot time or should I think of it as a normal clock..

Mon-Thur I try to to shoot at 6:30. So ±1=7:30, +2=8:30 etc.

Today she is moved a 1/2 hr to a 7 am shoot. Do I still consider +1=7:30 or have I Now adjusted her to +1 is moved to 8am?

Sorry these +times are like military time to me a mess with my head.

Re: 8/9 Izzy apms 99 retest 12/15 109. hate to shoot low.

Whether you shoot early or late, the time that you shoot is your AMPS/PMPS. All of the times after are in reference to your pre-shot time. So, if you shot today at 7:00, that test number is your AMPS. The 7:30 test was your +0.5. Tonight, since you were only 30 min. late, you can either shoot 30 min. early and get back on track or shoot 15 min. early tonight and 15 min. early tomorrow morning.

Re: 8/9 Izzy apms 99 retest 12/15 109. hate to shoot low.

So since my PreShot is almost always 10-15mins prior to my actual sho the how should that be noted? I don't shoot when Izzy is eating because she will stop eating. I'd rather be certain she has eaten first so I leave her alone to eat.

That's okay if it's a few minutes between testing and shooting. The BG number you want to put in the AMPS and PMPS column is the test just prior to the shot. As you go forward for the next 12 hours, the +1, +2, etc times are how many hours it has been since you actually gave the shot.

Does that help, or is it more confusing? ;-)
