Happy Monday all!

Well, we have a nice blue AMPS this morning after a flat yellow evening before I went to bed. Last night's recap:

This morning: 196. I think it's because she only ate about half of what I left her last night. Apparently one meal of EVO was enough for her yesterday. She was VERY interested in her breakfast this morning, so much so that I needed to pick it up to keep her from gobbling it all down, which she never does. Wish I could stick around to keep her from eating it all up as soon as I put it back down, but I have to leave for work now.

Hope everyone has a great day - I'll visit some condos when I get home this afternoon!

Nice start Emma! Since you are all alone today why don't you come with me to Stu's today. he had to go to the vet, so we are going to visit him for a while when he gets home. You coming to Trey' OTJ party today? I hope I will see you there! ~~ Mannie

I called the vet this morning about doing a C&S, and they want to try (again, for the millionth time) getting urine from Emma, so I'm home early to take her, since they could squeeze her in for an appt at 3. Just checked her BG - 187 @ +8! I'm guessing the girl was in the greens today!

Let's hope they can get what they need from her, so I don't have to follow her around all evening trying to get a sample!

Update: back from the vet..no success, as usual. She peed everywhere as soon as someone touched her. At least we're making progress..she actually made it past the lobby this time before she peed. The vet tech took some from her carrier to do a urinalysis, but I came home with a sterile cup to try and get a sample so they can culture it.

Pesky pee tests! :? never liked those, but hey at least they got something.

oh what a bummer! Poor Emma... Well guess you can at least get a urinalysis done. Hope that is good....

Sorry Emma didnt get her urine done--Moonie usually pees on any vet tech who picks her up--Then there is no urine for the cyto test!!
Oh well, try again another day!!--Emma had some nice numbers today.--She is doing well!! Good job! :mrgreen:

I've had one of the vet techs come to the house before, and she completely freaks at that too. Basically no one can touch her except for me, and sometimes my mother. After a few months she'll start to warm up to people, but she still doesn't let anyone touch her. The only time they were ever able to get it was when she was sedated, and I don't want to do that everytime. So, they send me home with a sterile cup, and I do my best to catch the urine without touching the sides of the cup, or letting it touch her. It's a little tricky!
