458 this morning!!! What the heck? We haven't had any red in months. I'm using a Lantus pens that was donated and it expires next month, so maybe it's not really effective anymore? It was unopened, but maybe it loses its effectiveness over time? We definitely have had a new pattern the last few days-- one really high flat day and then a more "normal" cycle and then another high flat day. I'm not sure if it's this pen or if she's bouncing from the increase to 3.75u. I wish I hadn't changed multiple variables. 
The ant invasion is ongoing and now I have 2 feral kittens (unrelated to each other so separate quarantine kennels) stashed in my garage that I'm trying to socialize so I don't have to put them back out in the wild. One of them is making progress but the other is older than I'd usually try to work with but he's a confident kitten so I'm hoping he can learn to adapt.
