Benny squirmed a lot during his AMPS; it's like he knew something was going to be different, but he anticipated it was the poke. I'm knocking on wood and will next test him at PMPS...the boy says "sleep all day? Yahoo!"

we just had someone join with a 15-year-old FD, I think I am going to link them to this thread so they can see, it is not impossible for an older kitty to get to regulation and even remission. It just takes hard work, commitment to the process and probably a little luck.

We're definitely going to throw ourselves into this process and make it work.
Since Chewie had zero health issues before her back injury 6 months ago, I have good hope that we can bring her into remission!

Welcome, Virginie! I have not seen your spreadsheet, but if you look at Benny's you can see how much progress he has had--he was not doing well at first. There are lots of great people to help, so you are in the right place.

that was my understanding. I held my breath for 2-3 days but also, there's the argument that at .1 U there's not much of a depot to drain so maybe more like 2 cycles? Honestly I'm not sure anyone knows for sure.

Thanks! Chewie doesn't have a formal diagnosis yet, only high BG from a regular annual senior panel. She's getting a recheck with BG, urinalysis and fructosamine on 8/19, so I'll create her spreadsheet then
