Zener is doing ok today. It's hard to watch him getting frailer. He still likes to do his yard patrol, check out the catnip, nap in his cabana. We have a new cabana, closer to the door. Right now he's watching a sassy squirrel get peanuts and run off to store for the winter. Appy wasn't good this morning, so he got 100 ml of fluids. Thank you, Marje, Gus and Mike for making the wonderful video. The fluids really do help him feel better.

OT: Anne is doing fine at the tournament, in spite of catching some sore throat/cold bug. Her work is mostly done, now just to see who wins. I'm doing a half-marathon in the morning. Not sure what I'll do about his shot. Right now, I am thinking skip or 18/18. Depends what he is in the morning and when I get back from the race. I'll be gone at least 5 hours and I can't count on him to eat. I'm hoping the fluids will bring him down tonight. But, could be anything with our guy. :roll: :lol:

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans. Happy weekend! :-D

The fluids are great...I hope they helped with his appy. Nothing like a little squirrel watching to keep a kitty entertained!! Good luck with the run tomorrow, Liz!

Looks like the fluids helped to bring him down. Now Zener, you need to hang out in those lovely sunny yellows more! Sooooo soothing.

Good luck with the marathon and whatever you decide to do about the shot. It's a tough call when you can't count on their eating.

I hope the fluids help Zener's appy get better. Good luck with his shot in the morning. Enjoy the half-marathon. I hope Anne gets over the bug soon.

Best wishes on a great run tomorrow, Liz! Hope that Zener behaves himself while you're away. Also, hope the fluids help him feel better. Feel better vines for Anne...colds are NO fun, especially when you're not even home! :sad: Sleep well and scritches to the kitties.

Sending feeling- good vines to the Z Man, feel-better vines to Anne, and have-a-great half marathon vines to you, Liz. That was my favorite distance back when I was a competitive racewalker.

Tillie gets mouse vines. Rusty is looking forward to hunting with her on Sunday.

Those blues do look much better on Zener. Paws crossed his appy is improving with the squids. I see by his profile that he turns 15 this month. I know what you mean about not wanting to think of our fur children getting older. :sad:

Have fun with the race tomorrow and vines being sent to Anne.
