Good morning everyone! Nice amps for my girl today, but I won't be able to test much today as I'm almost out of lancets. Ordered more, but they're not here yet.
Sorry for the odd title, but have questions this morning lol.
Muffin is an indoor cat, but every few weeks she is just dying to go out back to eat grass. She's been doing this the last couple of days, so I'm wondering is it ok to let her do that? I've tried buying the indoor grass from petco, but she won't eat that.

Also, now that I'm trying 1.25u dose, can anyone tell me specifically which syringes have 1/2u markings? Right now I have BD U100 3/10 31g.

Thanks all.

Muffin says hello!

Re: 8/8 Muffin amps 85 - Ok to eat grass? Syringes?

Grass is fine. Muffin's just likely to puke it up on whatever piece of white carpet she can find.

Please pick up lancets at a local pharmacy. They are inexpensive and pretty much every pharmacy carries them. With an AMPS of 85, you need to stay on top of what's going on for Muffin's safety.

reading your subject, I thought you were asking if it was ok to eat syringes!!!

I don't have the pen for my AlphaTrak meter, but I do have some AlphaTrak lancets and they look just like the ReliOn ones I got at Wal Mart. Some lancets are different, but there are a lot that are that style and should work. The ReliOn ones are cheap too. You can also get syringes at Wal-Mart, the ReliOn 3/10cc syringes have 1/2 unit markings and are also cheap (about $13 for a box). That's what I use.

I buy the GNP brand syringes from Hocks. (It's their own brand.) I've found them to be great -- minimal problems with bubbles!

Thanks for telling me to keep testing Sienne, +1.25 66 I'll keep on it, and run to the drug store for more lancets.

+9 63 She ate chicken this afternoon, and just gave her dry snack at +9. Now time to walk the drooler.

I used to free poke when I first was learning, but now that i've gotten the process down, the pen seems easier, quicker, and less stressful to both Muffin and me. And the ReliOn lancets were less than $4 for 100, less than $6 for 200, so I'm fine with those. Just hoping the vet hasn't gotten around to ordering more alpha trak lancets lol.
