What a difference a few carbs make! Moondance wasn’t very interested in his food today, so I added a teaspoon or 2 of 4% canned to his usual 0 carb raw for several of his meals. It kept him the yellows all day!

Hi Sherri,

Here's your last post for continuity: https://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB...17-bad-news-from-the-vet.251012/#post-2832109

Sorry to say this but it could also be the inflammation. You used MC before and it didn't push him into yellows. My Ruby goes through this too with her small cell lymphoma. I say feed him what he wants to eat and give him as much insulin as he needs. Whenever Ruby gets bored with her raw I put a smidge of MC in and her interest picks right up and it doesn't affect her BGs very much.

Thanks for linking! I copied the link from yesterday’s post, but forgot to paste it in o_O

I was thinking the inflammation/possible infection might be influencing the numbers. Yeah, I hate to deny him anything when it looks like he probably doesn't have much time left. Luckily, pate is his preferred food.
