Alicia my kitty Fritz can't take Cipro. Is it possible to talk to the vet about giving liquid Orbax. It works great for cats and Fritz licks it right off the plate he loves the flavor and you give it once a day.
It is my choice of antibiotic any time Fritz needs one. All the others he has horrible side effects and vomiting and diarrhea.
At least for Fritz I have never seen any side effects.

@DebG When the vet talked to my husband, she said only cipro would work on this strain of bacteria. I need to find out which specific bacteria it is. I am keeping a close eye on her for any side effects, but the warnings are a little scary. I will definitely ask about Orbax if she has problems. Thanks!:cat:
