ADMIN HELP!!!

1.4 @AMPS (given 0.5ml maple syrup in oral syringe), 26.6 @ 10minutes, 1.1 @20minutes, 27 @ 30 minutes.

Skipping shot today! We had a Hypo last night. She flip flopping up and down????? What’s going on???

I hope I’ve done the right thing, giving her 1.5 U. Last night, her hypo earned her reduction of 0.25 so her actual day should’ve been 1.75 unit.
 
Maybe those 1.4 and 1.1 were bad strips. It seems unlikely that honey would have brought the BG up from 1.4 to 27 mmol in 20 minutes then back down again.
Last night's BGs earned Bella a reduction per SLGS and the new dose is 1.75. great job keeping her safe last night :bighug:.
Is it possible to get another test now?

But I’m now doubting all the numbers… you think it’s the strips not the monitor?
I do feel last night was accurate because the numbers rose typically.
 
That's great. It seems that the 1.1 may have been a bad strip. I hate it when that happens. As a matter of fact it happened to me today too :banghead:.
Your numbers last night look pretty accurate to me. Look at the time in-between the tests had some variation but nothing wild like your AMPS. Going from a lime to a red BG in 20 mins is very unlikely.
You did great and today's AMPS in the 20s means to me that Bella is bouncing from the greens last night.
 
Oh I think I need to cry! Terrible morning. My husband and I both gave our son cough medicine because my head was all over the place with Bella. Our son will survive, but this is so hard when life is happening around you. And you’re stuck in a hypo moment.

I rationalise that she and a reduction last night, let’s say this is possible. Let’s give her another reduction this morning 1.5 felt right. Because I really don’t want to put her behind her great progress.

Your son will survive and so will Bella. You're both doing great. And you did a fantastic job with last night's numbers. Giving 1.5 was ABSOLUTELY fine to do and will not slow down any progress. She's bouncing from those lower BGs last night which is perfectly normal. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I think it is very possible the BGs last night were correct as you shot a lower preshot at PMPS and it went down to 5.6 at +2. That is a red flag that it is going to be an active cycle. Then at +4 you had the really low numbers. You managed it all very well.
After very low BGs the numbers can wobbly about up and down for several hours. That is why we say you need to test for 2 hours after the last lot of high carb food or syrup to make sure your kitty can stay up on his own without the help of higher carb foods.
Now you have a big bounce from the low numbers last night. This is very normal and expected.
Dont be upset at all. You did very well and it can be hard when you are juggling kids, work, cats and low numbers:bighug:

Thank you for that advice. Yes I agree I should have set another alarm in between the two test In the middle of the night, but I must’ve slept through it or not press save properly on my phone. I had my husband test her at 7+ and she was 16.1.
It will be interesting to see her PMPS tonight, planning on going the 1.75U depending on her numbers
