Happy Friday!!! Many healing vines to Zener, Trix, JD, Prince, Sabrina, Sasha, Lovey, Elise's Mom, Tricia, Wendy's Mom, Molly's Mom and Dad. More loving thoughts to Mariko. Cheering Lola, Mottyl, Mona, and Rocky on their OTJ Trials.

We all had a very stressful day yesterday but especially LBG. Dr. B called me early and said Gracie's liver enzymes are all elevated again back to where they were two years ago when she had the bile duct infection. Off we went back to the clinic so Dr. B could do some more NRT on her to find out what would help support her liver until we could get her into the IM specialist next week. Oddly, the liver and pancreas are testing at 10 and the stomach at 6 but Dr. B said they are all so close together that it's almost impossible to totally isolate what is testing weak. Gracie is back on clavamox and two additional supplements to support her liver and pancreas. She is such a trooper about taking everything which is getting to be a lot. I did a little card for us that lists what she gets at each + time from her shot. Thankfully, she is eating well (touch wood) although she's lost another ounce. The IM vet couldn't get her in for an U/S until next Wed. :-| but Dr. B said she thinks that is ok. Poor LBG was really stressed yesterday and just wanted quiet time when we got home. However, Lupita just arrived and life is normal in that regard. Gracie was here with me in the office and when she heard Lupita's voice, she peered around the corner, tail down instead of the usual up, and then she walked towards Lupita and as they passed, gave her two good hhisssssssssssssssss's.

We are past the six cycles since her reduction and we hope she's starting to flatten a bit and not taking those big dives. We hope to see a nice slide back to green today. And yes, she does get a ton of bump from vet stress and it takes a while to see her come back down. Poor baby girl. And she is always so good at the vet......she lets them do whatever and she's patient and sweet. She is funny though because on the way over and while she's there and in her carrier, she buries herself under all the blankies. As soon as I put her back in the car after, that little head pops out of the blankies whew!! I's done!!! i can come out of da covers now!! and she purrs.

Sorry for the long condo. The other stressor yesterday was I got a call before the crack of dawn yesterday from the assisted living facility where Mom lives telling me she had fallen again but was ok. Then in the midst of talking to Dr. B and getting Gracie over there, I got another call that Mom was on the way to the ER because her BP was dangerously high. She was admitted to the hospital yesterday and her BP is better today. I'm not sure when they will release her.

I was supposed to work yesterday but never got to it so I will be working today. Mike is home and taking care of kitties :-D :-D :-D We hope you all have a great day.

Poor LBG, but she can't frrl too bad if she is still hissing at Lupita. ;-) Paws crossed for good tests next week.

Those are the kind of phone calls you don't want to get!! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: Sending mega vines - I am sorry that you have to wait until next week for the US - thank goodness she is eating well though! I love the image of her cute little face sticking out from the covers :-D

Sending tons and tons of healing and comfort vines to your DM as well, how scary!!! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: Hopefully they can stabilize her BP quickly, sorry you have to work today too, as if that isn't enough stress! :YMHUG: Will wait anxiously for updates, but only if time allows.

When it rains, it pours. Sending prayers and vines for your mom and Gracie. I hope you are able to get your work done with all this stress. Sending prayers, vines and hugs to YOU! I'm glad Mike is home.

What a stressful day yesterday. I'm glad Gracie is eating and otherwise being her delightful self (especially when it comes to poor Lupita :lol: ). Sending many vines that your vets will come up with a course of treatment to get those liver values back where they need to be.

Sending healing vines for your DM, too. There's never a good time to get that kind of phone call, but talk about piling on! I hope she's stabilized and back to her own environment soon.

Don't forget to take care of yourself through all this! I'm glad Mike's there to ride herd over the kitties. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Wow Marje.. I'm so sorry for all of the stress that you're going through right now. I'm glad that they got your mom to the hospital for her BP. I wonder if the rise in BP had anything to do with her fall the day before that? I have very low blood pressure so much really watch it whenever I bend down to pick something up so that I don't topple over. I have never heard of falling from BP that is too high though. I wonder if the rise in BP is due to her stress.. she fears that she might fall again? :roll:

Glad that you have Gracie on the antibiotics and pray that she feels better shortly.

Hi Marge,

Yesterday was a tough one. Gracie doesn't seem to feel bad with her hissing at Lupita and cute behavior, and eating so that's good. Gracie will be on the prayer list for normal liver enzymes. They will get back to where they need to be. Sorry about your mom too. Sending prayers for her too.

Oh Marje, what a chaotic and stressful few days you've had. I hope you can put your feet up and relax with some kitty snuggles tonight. Glad to hear that Gracie is getting the right care for her wonky enzyme counts. And what a perfect picture of Gracie and Lupita! So adorable! :-D Sending healing vines for Gracie and DM.

LBG had a really good day in terms of eating, playing, etc. she's been flat high blue so we will give her a brief chance to come down and then might need to increase.

Mom is ok...thank you all asking about her and sending vines. She's still in the hospital but her BP is coming down.

Tina...she's had chronic problems with her BP going up. She fell the same day her BP went up. I don't think she's afraid or stressed about falling. She is just stubborn about not calling for help. Her BP has been up for a few days. :roll: :roll: I appreciate you offering some thoughts.
 
I'm doing great, Ruth. Yesterday was stressful but I'm fine today after seeing Gracie just bring Gracie :-D :-D

Marje, sorry to hear that your mom is having a difficult time. May her BP continue to improve. Sending vines for a good positive IM visit and U/S for Gracie.
