Yesterday

Trix DID get a follow-up pokey today, and we haz us some green :mrgreen: ! Poor Trix, the only OTJ kitty who still gets pokies, but her path to OTJ was so odd, and her "PS" numbers just keep me guessing :roll: ....or maybe it's just a habit that I just can't quit :roll: :roll: :roll: . She's a happy kitty, though...snuggly and feisty. Last night she raced me up the stairs yet again...I love that....and she has been "playing" with her nanners more and more. Now, Trix, how do you feel about eating all your fuds totally on your own, without MamaBean holding the plate? I'd say at this point, she'll eat about 25% of her required caloric intake without me providing room service....that's something, but obviously not nearly enough! She sure does eat well, though, when I hold the plate for her...my silly girl.

I have completely escaped having to go to the courthouse for jury duty! Last night's message said they are done calling jurors for the week!!! I can't believe they only called 180 people this week....all the judges and lawyers must be on vacation. PHEW!!!

My Dad's appointment at Penn got shifted by one day from Aug 13 to Aug 14. We're still seeing the local oncologist on Aug 11, too. I know it's just one more day, but we need to get through this limbo period so we can move forward with some sort of plan! In the meantime, aside from being tired, he continues to feel perfectly fine.....thank God.

WOoHOO! Look at that +3! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: Well done trixie. I think you are wise to continue to test Trixie, even if it is just a couple per day. There are no surprises then, and you can truly udnerstand and know that she is doing great, that Mr P is till on the job.

Keep up the good work on those fuds Trixie. NOM NOM! and nanner play? COOL! Mannie would be so proud! And running up stairs too? You are doing well miss Trixie! that is so great to read.

YAY! No more jury duty. A relief that they need no more I am sure.

Continued good wishes and positive thoughts for your dad. the waiting for appts I think sometimes is the hardest part.

Great Trixie report. I just asked about nanners yesterday. Does she play with other toys too? I think perhaps having you hold the plate is a habit she started when sick and now has become part of her routine. Max started hiding under the bed when Tiffany did and I'm almost certain he now goes there even when he feels well. Don't you wish they could talk and tell us.

I'm continuing to send prayers for your dad, Amy. It's good I think to get as many opinions as possible and then get more so keeping the local appointment is smart I think. I hope he continues to feel well.

Trix isn't a big "player" like the other kitties are, so for her, "playing" means rubbing her face on the nanners and licking them. She does LOVE a fresh new 'nip toy, and the Yeoowwwww brand seems to be top-notch, according to all my kitties.

I agree about how she eats is now a habit...another bonding experience. For the most part, I don't mind it - I love to see her eating, whatever it takes. I just get a bit stressed on days when I'm pressed for time and have to work...that's when I really wish she would walk up to a plate and eat on her own. But, I am very thankful that she actually WANTS to eat, and eats well, even though I have to hold the plate.

Thank you for the prayers...I really do feel the power behind them.

I just get a bit stressed on days when I'm pressed for time and have to work...that's when I really wish she would walk up to a plate and eat on her own.

This is exactly how I feel about Shasta...most of the time. Recently, I think Shasta does a bit more "on her own" eating than Trixie, but just in the past few days, I have to pick her up and put her in front of her bowl or place her bowl in front of her or hold it for her. Something strange is going on with my little one. BUT...I'm happy to hear that Trixie is playing and racing you to the top of the stairs. Such good signs for her! <anti-jinx> Keeping your dad and family in my prayers. Waiting sucks, especially when you're waiting on a game plan. Not cool, doctors. Not cool! Scritches to the kitties!!!
