It was a busy day today but our 6 houseguests are out visiting and having dinner out so I plan to relax and monitor Tiger tonight ;-)

Well, we're bouncing again, but with a slight difference. With Tiger's dose up to 3.75, I feel like the bounces are ever so slightly less severe on a higher dose. I am still trying to vary the injection site and after reading so many posts about Lantus vs Lev, and the reaction to the "sting" of Lantus, I plan to discuss with our vet, the possibility of switching to Lev at Tiger's next vet appt in a couple of weeks. I have definitely noticed she winces if the injection site is other than the scruff and I don't like the fact that there is not as good absorption in the scruff.

As I mentioned last night, the replacement vet suggested that coughing up a hairball more than twice a year indicates IBD; I have had time to try and read and try to get a better understanding of symptoms and am reading other condos where the kitty has IBD/diabetes and CKD, I want to thank Elise for making the suggestion.

And Wendy, thanks for pointing out the other condos to look at, I am going to do that since I have a bit of a break tonight. I will make sure to discuss Tiger's sniffling with her regular vet, she doesn't do it all the time, just sometimes when she's sleeping or eating. I know that I am feeling the effect of weeds already, so she could be feeling allergies as well.

Sending our continued thoughts to Mariko and Ginger and the memory of Lucy and continuing healing vines to all who need them.

Paws crossed this is a lower bounce and that she's getting over it now. I find just a little more juice can make the bounce be not quite so high or last as long.

I've always shot Neko around the shoulders, just below the scruff and she didn't show any difference between Lantus and Lev, even though we got north of 8U. But ECID and some cats notice a sting at much lower numbers.
