hhope all is well out there today
We are having a so-so day again.
I am so very nervous about the vet tomorrow
especially after so far everyone said that they do not give insulin before a dental
and not eating all night...
dont know what to do now..I think I will have to take his number tomorrow and
see where he is and judge from there.. nailbite_smile

Post on health regarding giving the insulin prior to the dental. It is my understanding that you don't want the sugar dropping while they are under anesthesia. Not, exactly sure what I am talking about......but, there is a safety reason that you don't give it. I suggest you post on health.

I understand how you feel, I was a basket case until the vet called and said it was over.

I am sure it will be okay! I will be thinking about you and Shakes.

My vet told us if Asher's amps number was normal in the morning give him a half dose. Asher was a little under his normal number so I didn’t shoot at home the morning of his dental. But stress made Asher's number rise by the time we got to the vet around 8-9am, so the vet shot a half dose before the procedure. All was fine with that. His pmps that night wasn’t even that high. We gradually got him back up to a normal dose.

Sending you good vibes for an easy dental. You’ll feel good when it’s over.

(((((hugs)))))

Hope all goes well with the dental tomorrow! Sending positive vibes your way, let us know asap tomorrow!
