Good Sunday Morning, Everyone,

We had heavy rain last night and damp, cool, cloudy weather this morning with more storms predicted. But tomorrow it is supposed to be a little less rain, so we'll do our paddle on the Kunjamuck unless the weather prognosis gets much worse. We just got back from blueberry pancakes at our friends' house (delicious) and my DS has left for home. Tonight we will have another camp guest: one of the paddlers who lives very far from here. She and her DH were just "adopted" by a half-grown kitten who was apparently abandoned and was meowing under their house. They took her in, fed her, and she has found a home (they lost their cat last winter and were actually going to go to the Humane Society this coming week to select another one; instead they were selected by a kitty in need.) Neat story. She's orange and they have named her "Golden". Will take her to the vet next week to get checked out and her shots.

Rusty had a good night hunting. At one point I heard big crashes, but it was Edward, whose flashlight wasn't working and who was trying not to disturb my sister, who was on the futon. Instead he crashed into the fireplace screen and a chair and woke everyone up! Rusty is starting out almost green. Good test, shot (I think) and breakfast in 2 sittings. He had a great time at Cow's party and the afterparty here at camp.

Hi my pals: thanks for keeping me company here at camp. I'm still here today and tomorrow. Leo is going to instruct us in mousering today. But Binks has hid the mousie and we have to respect that because he is now Binksy's friend. Maybe we'll just go fishing. See you all later,
Rusty

Maybe because we seldom get any rain at any time of the year, your description of a rainy day at the cabin sounds like heaven to me!!! I hope the weather isn't ruining your fun, though!!

Have a great day!!

Morning guys! Looks like Rusty wants to be a blue kitty today - what is up with that? Green Rusty, OK?

Oh my on the mouse hunting. and poor Edward! That must have hurt a little. :?

What a great story about your paddler friend and Golden. I always think that somehow our furkids select us. It is wonderful to think that they took in a kitty in need. Kudos to them! Enjoy your guest tonight. and wonderful on the pancakes this morning. I remember those breakfasts from posts from last summer. They always sound so good.

Enjoy your day - I hope you got out on your paddle.

Rusty - hey dude! awesome after party last night - I lUBS it there... I think you may be right on Binksy and the mousie.... these mousies always end up being his friend... see you soon - in Chi-town! ~~ Mannie

Hey Rusty! that's the wrong way! Maybe he did get the pancakes!

Binksy and his mice! But they don't eat much and my bean says we can give them our extra carbs. It doesn't hurt them! I think Binks is sharing his cheezbrugers. Burger and cheese for Binks, the bun for tho mousie friends. -- Tess

Hi again,
We had a pretty nice day after the early rain. And the hoards of people using the motel's beach are gone (and their jet ski with them). Quiet now! We're waiting for our friend. Rusty had a flat blue day and is napping. He had some outdoors time this afternoon and actually went down to the water as far as the ramp to the dock!! He was really interested in the water. I think I gave a fur shot, or partial fur shot this evening. Can't seem to avoid them, especially when he flinches and pulls away before I finish counting to 10. We'll see later.

The kitties are at Junior's OTJ party and are having lots of fun.

Our friend is arriving.

p.s. to Celi: great pic! That even looks a little like Stu, and it's exactly what he would have done!!!

I hope it was not a fur shot but oh well, it happens sometimes more oft then we would like. Rusty is quite the explorer. Have a wonderful visit with your friend and a great paddle tomorrow.

Your weekend sounds like so much fun, and I love the kitty adopting your friends. It was meant to be with the kitty finding them. I hope it was a full shot or at least a partial. I think i did a full one. I haven't checked on Roni yet! Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

ell here's hoping it wasn't a fur shot... paws crossed. WOW on Rusty venturing all the way down to the dock - nice! Enjoy the time with your friend tonight. It sounds like a very good way to spend an evening. Sending good paddle vines to you for tomorrow. Enjoy!

Awww, sounds like Rusty is having the time of his life huntin' for some wabbits. I mean, mice.

So glad you made it to Junior's OTJ party! Hope you enjoyed the tunatinis!

What a super nice day for Rusty. Hope he got in lots of hunting today and the rain stayed at bay.

Oh the blueberry pancakes sound wonderful. I had to laugh about Edward tripping around last night...sorry, Edward!!

Have a great evening.
