Good Sunday Morning, Everyone,
We had heavy rain last night and damp, cool, cloudy weather this morning with more storms predicted. But tomorrow it is supposed to be a little less rain, so we'll do our paddle on the Kunjamuck unless the weather prognosis gets much worse. We just got back from blueberry pancakes at our friends' house (delicious) and my DS has left for home. Tonight we will have another camp guest: one of the paddlers who lives very far from here. She and her DH were just "adopted" by a half-grown kitten who was apparently abandoned and was meowing under their house. They took her in, fed her, and she has found a home (they lost their cat last winter and were actually going to go to the Humane Society this coming week to select another one; instead they were selected by a kitty in need.) Neat story. She's orange and they have named her "Golden". Will take her to the vet next week to get checked out and her shots.
Rusty had a good night hunting. At one point I heard big crashes, but it was Edward, whose flashlight wasn't working and who was trying not to disturb my sister, who was on the futon. Instead he crashed into the fireplace screen and a chair and woke everyone up! Rusty is starting out almost green. Good test, shot (I think) and breakfast in 2 sittings. He had a great time at Cow's party and the afterparty here at camp.

Hi my pals: thanks for keeping me company here at camp. I'm still here today and tomorrow. Leo is going to instruct us in mousering today. But Binks has hid the mousie and we have to respect that because he is now Binksy's friend. Maybe we'll just go fishing. See you all later,
Rusty
