Good morning, LL ~O) !
Sending much love and light to (((Ann))) today ~ and healing vines to Jupe, Shasta, and anyone else in need.

Ripley is doing great today. Good appy, nice big poo, squawky, feeling like a ninja (story to follow...).
She slept by me all night ~ must've known I needed the snuggles.
Yesterday's sadness was another reminder to enjoy every moment with our kitties.

Speaking of enjoying every moment, all of our the kitties must've had an amazing, sweet night last night remembering and honoring their dear friend Maggie. Ripley keeps talking about the stars and singing and eating and laughing and hugging and reminiscing... sweet kitties.

This morning while I was preparing to t/s/f Ripley, I noticed it was rather quiet (no squawking, no paper-shredding... weird). I searched all over our tiny house, and couldn't find her. Finally I grabbed a flashlight and went outside ~ there she was, waiting outside the door, squawking. She must've escaped while I let our drooler Marley outside for his morning 'tinkle.'
Ripley was outside for a few minutes, I'm sure chomping madly away at grass blades, knowing it was only a matter of moments before I came looking for her. She managed to eat 5 blades of grass; she threw them up about a minute after coming back inside, each intact, without bite marks. She must've inhaled them  . Luckily I had a feeling there'd be some pukus, so stalled the feeding for a few minutes. By the time we were ready for t/s/f, she was purring up a storm (and she's not much of a purrer); she must've been so thrilled that she got to sneak outside.
I could tell she was pretty proud of herself.
Maybe she wanted to catch the last glimpse of Maggie's star before the sun came up.

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
Hugs to you all, and scritches to all of your furkiddos :-D

Re: 8/7 Ripley AMPS 108

Nice start for Ripley! Too cute on sneaking outside. They do think they get away with things. Too bad on the grass pukey, but at least you know what it was from and it was short lived. Those purry kitties are the best. They know when we need it the most. Have a great day Josie!

Hi guys .. oh ripley, what a little stinker you are! I just bet she was feeling proud of herself for sneaking out .. And yes, I bet she just wanted that last peak at maggie's star .. have a great day guys!

Re: 8/7 Ripley AMPS 108

Hi Josie. Nice AMPS for Ripley today. Awesome story about Ripley's outside venture.

Have a great day Josie.

Re: 8/7 Ripley AMPS 108

Quite the sneaky adventurer, Ripley! Hershey and Oreo don't go outside, but make a run for it if an open door is left unattended. Hershey doesn't usually leave the deck, but Oreo? Last time he got out, Jessica called and called for him and he came running from the other side of the neighbor's fence! He comes when she calls "MOMMY!" So, I'm sure the neighborhood wondered why this grown person was in the yard at late thirty calling for their mommy!!

Looks like the start to an awesome day - hope it continues into tonight!

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Nice start for Ripley today. That's so funny on the sneaking outside and inhaling the grass blades.

I hope Ripley put on one of her beautiful surfs today! It's so funny how we know what our kitties are up to...I love how you were so in tune with her that you KNEW there were blades of grass that were about to be barfed back up. MamaBean extraordinaire!

Have a great evening, Josie!

Today so far:

PMPS: 111

Yay! She was in the 70s! Sweet girl.
Thanks so much for all of the visits today.

Hi, Melissa :-D The grass-pukey is no big deal ~ it happens regularly after her outside time. At least I knew what caused the puke.

Hi, Devon :-D Little stinker is right! And she was soooo proud of her little stinker-ness, too, which made her an even bigger stinker.

Hi, John :-D Thanks for visiting today! I still can't believe I missed the escape ~ she's not a quick kitty.

Hi, Libby :-D It's good to hear from you, one of my First PJ Party Mentors! Luckily, Ripley is very easy to catch. That's so funny Oreo answers to "mommy"

Hi, Carla :-D Thanks for stopping by! She was probably racing against the clock ~ record grass ingesting
