I swear this girl is worse than a kid! DH was fumbling around in the walk-in pantry last night after dinner and told me that he 'bobbled' a container of dark chocolate peanut butter cups and dropped ONE.:oops: He couldn't find it...so I went in there with a flashlight and found it - because I know if I don't Miss Shark Hunter herself would MOST definitely find it...well I found it!:woot: Got rid of that problem!

Not so fast!!:arghh: Apparently Miss Luci - detective that she is, went looking as well and was just as successful as I was:eek::eek::eek: - I found the evidence this morning laying on the rug just outside the pantry!

I'm wondering - 'duh' - if that was the reason for the huge spike last night?o_O Her numbers this morning don't look like someone who's just eaten a portion of a PB cup...last night seemed awfully high - I figured just the bounce after being so low for most of the day...

Moving forward now...let's hope she has a good day today...sheesh! Here is what remains of Luci's candy selection for this event :(

They say cats can't taste sweet, but I think that's bosh. Squallie has always loved anything sweet; he has a particular fondness for buttercream icing, and he can demolish a Twinkie if left to his own devices, lol.

I agree! Luci is like my MIL (may she rest in peace) .... she was always craving sweets - desserts of any kind - and she was an insulin dependent diabetic! Just like her granddaughter - Miss Luci - I personally think Luci prowls our house looking for sweets and carbs! I found out when I discovered a bowl of Christmas candy (holiday Hershey's Kisses) absolutely demolished! That girl had torn up an entire bowl of those foil wrapped candies trying to get to that chocolate - and she was only a kitten! From that point I had to remove all candy from the coffee tables, counters, etc. Nothing could ever be left out unsupervised...not with her around...little devil!:banghead:

Jade has a meat tooth instead of a sweet tooth (like me).

We had a cat like that - his name was Mr. Emily (thought he was a girl when he first adopted us - he was a stray and just moved in one day)...He got up on the table on the deck when we had friends over one evening and helped himself to an ENTIRE STEAK!:eek::eek: Drug it off just like a lion!! :woot::woot::woot:

At least Jade goes for the protein! Better for him :) Maybe that's why he's OTJ and Luci will never be???:rolleyes:

Ha!! Well...also like me, she would gladly eat french fries with her meat at every meal, and a nice salt lick for dessert.

Ha, oh Sue. I'm starting to think you and DH may just need to get rid of all the candy, or hide it in a safe behind a picture in the library! ;) I'm glad to see she didn't bounce too high or stay high for long. Nice of her to visit Lou at the lagoon!

I think we're going to have to get rid of everything sweet, all baked goods...sheesh...we keep everything on a high shelf in the pantry or in the fridge...and still she finds a way!

That is just way to funny, sorry but it is, I’ve never seen a cat who like candy lol lol omg I’m still laughing

I have two Bengals who can open every tin, cannister plastic container, and even cupboard, in my house. They drive me crazy, lol. I have taken to storing things I don't want them to get into in the microwave, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time before they figure out how to open that, too.

How on earth do they get tins and canisters open? they must be pretty darned persistent. I am amazed! I would love to see secretly filmed videos of the daring duo.

Not to sound disrespectful - but she should be dead by now - she's been eating chocolate her entire life - I've tried everything to get her to stop...but she still manages to find and consume it. Why is she so hell-bent on killing herself?

That's pretty funny! Well, I sincerely hope she's not suicidal.

As for how cats get into things.....thumbs.

Ooooooo Bengals, please share pics:):woot:

Khoji, my boy, is a brown marble; he is actually very handsome, but he doesn't photograph very well-or maybe I'm just a bad photographer, more likely, lol!

And the two together (A rare sight, Khoji has a love-hate relationship with Candy)
