Wondering what you are feeding Bear today now...I know there was a discussion yesterday...
I have recently tried the powder mix that includes liver and mix it with raw chicken thighs for my two. I mix it with some canned foods too so they are not on raw exclusively. It is very convenient...and I just use my food processor to puree the chicken..

Others mix there own blend of vitamins or buy packaged raw. I don't mind doing this on my own and then I know that the meat has not defrosted or whatever.
What hour do you leave for the wedding? You can maybe do checks up until that time, right? Hope you have a nice time!

An out the door check is always useful to fill in the blanks, he may be still high up there, but it helps either way.

I have frozen raw that I gave him this morning. I had to do a little convincing with some canned on top which is weird because he always liked it before.
I can't wait until he starts feeling better. Maybe then he will stop watching my every move like I am an evil evil woman and flattening his ears to his head when I get near him! (Not mean ear flattening... Just trying to keep me from grabbing them and pricking them!!)

Please don't laugh when you read this...and I am going to write it even though you might think i am NUTS!

Tell him why you are doing this. 'splain it to him!
My Raja is always watching me and acting all worried that I don't know what I am doing. Now, I am giving her a pill once a day and Clavamox drops twice a day and believe me...it's hard!! But I tell her that it is to help her feel better...I talk to her about what I am doing and why. Sounds silly I know...but when Bear starts feeling better he will be more agreeable.

Meanwhile, it's good to get routines going and if you talk to him about it, he might just listen. If not, then you looked like a fool and wasted some time.... LOL...
I have a testing towel where the testing and shots are done. My two never really needed treats but many kitties get used to the treats after and it's good incentive! And tell him that this is all non-negotiable. It has to BE...so maybe he will stop being so dramatic after your "talk"... might be worth a try...

I do talk to Curry in a calm voice as I'm doing the tests and treatments. One, it helps her to hear a soothing voice. Two, as I hear my own words in such a calm tone, it begins to calm me as well. I may not feel so calm at first, but trying to sound calm actually makes me a little more calm. Self-talk outloud never hurt anyone. Two benefits for the price of one....priceless.

*whew* Was worried it was our hospital who told you to dose SID. Thank goodness it's not. We stopped going to Colonial Park Animal Clinic ever since they terrorized the feral mom we'd brought in. Dr Ramos-Rivera was very nice, but we were so mad at the front desk ppl we switched hospitals right after that. We now go to the Animal Hosp of Dauphin County out on Rt 39.
