Good morning LL!

My sweet kitty has decided that upper 100's for her AMPS was a great way to get her momma's heart going on this Monday morning. With a faculty meeting this morning, I cannot stick around for a +2. I can't even stick around for a +1.5. Oh, sassy cat! I did shoot a very skinny .75u this morning and I'm leaving out 6% carb food today. Hopefully, she'll be ok and keep her BG in a good range. I'll run home at lunch to check on her.

Nice little food spike. Ok, I'm outta here...until later! Happy Monday! ~O)

Sometimes, when I'm worried, I'll leave out a bowl of food here, and a bowl of food there, and one over there, in all the places where my cat frequents.

I just don't know if I'm cut out for this "shooting" and "leaving" stuff. :YMSIGH: I should be ecstatic about her AMPS (171), but instead, I was cursing it as too low! grr_red

And no matter how much food I leave out, I still fear the worst. I AM A WORRY WORT!

That is a tough one. Your schedule isn't flexible at all. Can you come home at lunch?

I wish I could, but we were just told today at our faculty meeting that we are not allowed to leave during our "hours" and thanks to some school board audit, we now have to sign in every morning. Meanwhile, they continue to reiterate how important it is to have a mutual trust between teachers, administration and school board.

So, the short answer is NO, I will not be able to check in on her during lunch. And to make matters worse...check out her numbers tonight...
I think she was inspired by the Olympic divers tonight...

WHAT THE ??????????? Really Shasta?! Just gave her little 6% tuna and a few chunks of chicken. Will test in 10 minutes for her +4. I have higher carb ready if need be.

The pattern of Shasta's SS looks a lot like Gabby's -- typically, her nadir is early, around +3 or +4. It took me a while to get comfortable with leaving at +2 or +3 and knowing she'd be OK.
