WCR: Most Ps in place. Appy is pretty good. Pee, poop, preening, purrs & psnuggles...all good. This morning, she even decided to surprise me and jumped from toilet seat up to the sink basin for some scritches. I even got a pissy nip from her when I wouldn't let her eat the toilet paper. I still see some neurological stuff going on with her and right now, she's sitting on the ottoman and I'm watching her breathe/pulse w/ heart beat (leads me to wonder about blood pressure). She didn't get her full .5cc shot this morning because of an unusually large air bubble in the syringe and I didn't pull enough insulin. ugh!

OT: So, yesterday was teachers' first day back to work. Our schedule showed 4 hours of meetings and 4 hours of teacher work on own. About 45 minutes into meetings, our Principal tells us that we were going bowling. o_O :p Ok! So, we met at the bowling alley; bowled 2 games with silly games in the midst & then drove back to the school for a taco lunch prepared for us by the PTO. Team building at its best! By the way, my back was none too happy about bowling, but I have to admit that it was fun. Haven't bowled in what feels like forever! Unfortunately, today is a full day of meetings. :arghh:

Thank you, Carla, Amy, Michelle, Elise & Marilyn for checking in on us yesterday. I was really hoping to get on the board yesterday while in meetings. Bowling got in the way!! I'll try again today! Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

Hi Deborah,
I'm so glad that Shasta is feeling better.
Bummer on getting back to school!! But the bowling day and lunch sounded like a nice touch at the end of summer vacation.
I hope you will have a good academic year and that all your concerts will go well.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Interesting touch to inject bowling into your meeting day. I hope you still got time to work on your own. My last crazy principal felt she should take up all our time and we should set up on our own time.

Sounds like Shasta is feeling much better. Is she still getting cerenia or have you stopped? Have a great day!

How about that. An administration that sort of "gets it." I had fantastic building principals throughout my career, but higher level...not so much! Never got to go bowling on the district's dime or time.

Great to see Miss Sassy Shasta back to her old tricks again.

Wahooo on this Shasta condo! I'm guessing her BP would probably be the biggest challenge of all....

I'm glad yesterday turned into some fun...and I hope you saw a repeat of that today!!

Thanks, everyone! Shasta was very cute today when I got home. After school, I made a mad dash out to my car from the chiropractor's office. They lost power during a huge storm, so I chanced it because I really wanted to get home. Needless to say, I was soaked by the time I got home. Shasta was very chatty and followed me around the house wanting fuds (+11).

Today was nothing like yesterday's fun, team building day. In fact, my admin. kept reminding us to "Remember how much fun yesterday was...just keep remembering how much fun we had and all the laughter and silliness" because today was going to suck all the fun out of our lives...and it did. :arghh: Oh well, more paperwork that supposedly helps the teacher be better for the student...it doesn't. It just takes more precious time away from my sanity.

Is she still getting cerenia or have you stopped?

Elise, I did not give her any this morning, but I will give her a 1/4 tab in the morning. That will leave me with 1/2 tab and then I'm out. I need to go by the vet's office tomorrow to get another bag of fluids. I may ask if I can get another pack of Cerenia, just in case she is still icky. I haven't gone more than 1 day without either a 1/2 tab or 1/4 tab since last Tuesday...but since he won't write a script for Ondansetron...I don't want her in pain again. She's eating so much better now that her tummy isn't in knots. Also, I don't want to over-medicate her. Stupid fine line.

Tomorrow is teacher planning in classrooms, all day. I have a Department Chair meeting in the morning and a few students dropping by to sing for me or share some music with me, but I'm praying I can get all sorts of junk done tomorrow. Monday is an all-day inservice.
