Good Morning LL ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (LOTS! L just love ~O) ), and Happy TUNA Tuesday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is TUNA TUESDAY!!! Once again Lola and Bug want to make their famous triple tuna pies, with tuna and nip infused crust, tuna toppings, and now triple tuna infused cheese. YUMMMMMMMM! these pizza pies totally rock! The tuna cheese is a still a little weird, even witht eh added tuna and nip, but I have to admit that they are pretty good! And once again this week please don't ask for a tuna mocha....they is just gross and we will leave the tuna in them tuna pies. so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized oranges and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!

I am saddened to read of Maggie's crossing to the Bridge. Fly Free little one, we will all always remember you, never to be forgotten.

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. I LOVED mine,. Anytime I get to travel to the North Cascades, and Mt Baker, the day just has to be a good one. I was out the door very early (5:30 AM) as it is a long drive to get there, over 2 hours.... and home even later (like 5PM) so I will apologize for not getting to many condos. Thanks to all of you that take the time to visit me, and read all that is there. It really is appreciated. Yesterday's hikes were really great, even though I had to abort one of them, due to extenuating circumstances: like river forging and a missing bridge. :?  ;-) I don't regret going as far as I could, the area is just wndefful... andyeyas, her is what I wrote in kast night's post: "Hi Everyone! I hope your day has been a good one... I ave just returned home, after an awesome day on the trails. I was late.... Lola and Bug were not pleased, but have forgiven me. Elsa didn't care, as long as the fuds hit her bowl eventually.   I hiked in the North Cascades today, a place called Park Butte, and then on to Blue Lake and Dock Butte. I so LOVE the North Cascades - these hikes are part of the Mt Baker Area, just simple gorgeous. What a day today. omg... ;-) Between the two places I went to I think I did maybe 9 miles, possibly 10, and climbed about 1700 feet, though it felt like 2500. Steep and nothing but up! I Did make Park Butte, but aborted the hike about a mile and a half in. The creek crossing was more than I was prepared for. It required wading/forging: the creek, more like a river, was maybe 15" deep, about 20/25 feet across. and full of glacier melt, so one could not see where one was stepping. I would have done it is I'd had a spare pair of shoes. I just couldn't see climbing another 2500 feet in wet socks and shoes. dummie me, return trip I will have forging shoes. but what I did do was outstanding. It was just beautiful there. I spent some time on that creek, watching the flow. and those cross that had their shoes LOL. someone had placed a log, maybe 3' or 4" in diameter across one section, one guy used that. no.... don't think so - not wide enough. LOL. One has to love the trip reports filed by fellow hikers on the WTA site. One guy said crossing was so easy, boulder hoping was a piece of cake. LOL: he must have been 20. oh sure.... I couldn't figure out what boulders he was talking about. HAHA. oh well, no matter, I was content with what I did do, and went on to the backup site: Blue Lake, which was OK. I'm not too sure I'd go back: limited lake access. There is a butte hike that is tied on with that area, so hit that next. Now that was good, and I will go back for that - lots of alpine views, Baker, Shuskan etc, from about 5300 feet. Lots of climbing to make topside. I will probably feel that tomorrow.   overall though not bad at all. So all in all, a very fun day." Picassa link to the photos, and one video from Dock Butte: Park Butte and Blue Lake and Dock Butte

I am in such trouble.... well I was last night. I WAS LATE getting home, and the welcoming committee made sure I knew they were displeased. There were those cold icy stares.... and eh prancing.... and then there was the dreaded blood oath! on the middle of the steps.... waiting.... :o :o NO! Not the blood oath! well.... I did sign it, and it does say "thou shall not be late, under any circumstances. Our health and full belly status are at stake. Failure to be on time shall result in severe repercussions". Scary. so. I ran a s fast as I could, threw fuds in the bowls, and offered them up with chicken dust on top. PHEW! All as forgiven! At least fuds time. By 6PM they were all sound sepal..... by 9 PM they were ready to rumble, and so they did. At 9PM ;-), 10PM ;-) , 11PM :? MIDNITE to 1 AM  :-x and then again at 3 - 4AM. I figure it must be pay back time.... I SWEAR I WILL NEVER EVER BE LATE AGAIN!  and in between all that rumbling Lola was busy shredding another Kleenex box, one paper bag, and chewed the corners off three magazines. Bug swears complete innocence, though I found paper pieces under his chin. ;-) Ad Elsa? Napping through it all. Smart girl.

Have a great day everyone. I am off shortly to have breffis with my son. Later in the afternoon is a Seattle trip for coffee with my work buddy. WOOT! A social day for me!

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!!

I have missed your condo the last few days. So sorry! What a beautiful hike. Looks like you had a great time. Like any child who misses their curfew, you were strictly talked to. Those silly kitties. Sounds like they were rambunctious all night long. I forget what kittens are like. Have a great breakfast with Anthony. When is the diner closing? Enjoy your coffee in the city!

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) The diner should be closing in about 3/4 weeks, the last we heard. I will so miss that place. THX too on the pis - it was a fun filled gorgeous day up in the mountains. OH YES: I was strictly talked too, seriously,I was! and yes, another marathon.... I hear them but was so sleepy it didn't make too much of a dent, just me thinking: oh there they go again.  THX on today - it will be fun. :-D

    A stern talking to by the Welcoming Committee!
I know you had fun with your son for breffis. Eggs Benedict?
I love, love love the pictures. It's easy to understand how you could get coaxed into "just a little further and further". I'd like to see the pictures of "boulder hoping". I bet you're right.. he was probably 20   :-D

Elsa, thank heavens you saved me from the coffee pot. That orange, vanilla and choc ice cream on top of fudge...mmmmmmgood! xoxoxo auntie mary

Those pictures are beautiful. I love the snow covered mountains. I don't blame you for not crossing the creek.

Oh wow on the kitties carrying on. Too funny that Bug had paper on his chin.

I hope you had a good social day.

Hi Mary :-D yes, it was a very stern talking too!  THX on teh pics - i always end up getting caught up in it, just one more turn, another half hour... and them BAM! I am late... and suffer the wrath of the welcoming committee. Me too on the boulder hopping! he had to be a youngin'! There was no way.... and no one there was boulder hopping. ;-) Yes too on breffis! no, no EB today, but good food! he had pancakes and basted eggs, and sausage links, and me: an egg scramble thing with veggies and sausage, and a side of bacon. Mega good!
Auntie Mary! PHEW!!! I am so glad you put away that nasty coffee pot. I was so worried! Those are so bad.... fear not! I will always be there! heeheehhee = me too on the fudge thing - my favv! ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Carla :-D THX on the photos, a wonderful place isn't it? Incredibly beautiful! I so agree on that creek. LOL: maybe next time I go! Maybe.... :? THX on the kitties too. I did laugh at that piece of paper on Bugs chin. it was small, but there. GUILTY!  And THX - i did! it was a nice time out with friends.

Hey Lil Bit,

I have a job for you and a lovely uniform err outfit that goes with it.

You have taken some flying lessons and I need a new co-pilot now that Mags is flying on her own and no longer needs to use my jet.

But I need you to come with me tonight - OK - We need to fly really high and really fast and zip, zoom and soar in the sky in honor of Mags. I know she will see us and wave from her new place on the clouds.

What do you say, will you co-pilot with me, cause well you know, I don't see so good at night   anymore and I want to make sure that she sees us zooming.

Signed Maui the Magnificent, has a job opening for a new co-pilot

Hi Amy - THX, hike was really great - best views ever! and LOL: I think I will never have control.....

Maui! GF! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I am SO IN! I would love to be co-pilot!!!!!! Please, can I???? It would be an honor to fly so high in honor of Mags. I so wanna see her in the clouds with the other GA's - that would be mega cool. and No worries - I can zoom real fast! I SWEAR! yes yes yes yes yes! I'm going flying! so so so high! zooming high! see you Maggie!! Watch for us! ~~ Elsa, new co-pilot! :-D

Hi Michelle,
That raging river is awesome! Did you cross it at the spot where you photographed the guy on a rock in the middle? Or is that where you turnrd back?
What a beautiful place to hike. You must need really good boots to walk on those rock fields!

The kitties are gathering to remember Maggie and it is wonderful that Elsa, Bug and Lola will be at the party. We will all miss Mags.

Have a fine evening. Will tomorrow be a swim day or a river day?

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Michelle, thanks for checking in on me and Shasta tonight. She is still working on getting over this anesthesia hang-over, but hopefully, it will have passed by tomorrow. I must say, the whole "not eating" thing since midnight, last night, did not sit well with her AT ALL...so she is sympathizing with your pack of wild ones! Kitties MUST HAVE FUDS when tummies a rumblin'!  Many blessings!

Hi Ella - THX, I loved the river, just wish I could have crossed it! next time I will! That was my turning back point. There were a few boulders that jutted out, which is where I sat for a while and took a photo of that guy crossing. when I go back I will try from that point, as it looked a bit shallower... maybe :) at any rate: a gorgeous area to hike, I am "addicted" to it, the north cascades, and will be back for many more. Alpine is wonderful! yes on those rock fields! one does need to be careful, pay attention, watch your step, plus have a decent pair of boots. They also do a great job maintaining the trails, as one can find paths through them. -- i so know on Maggie. I miss her, her stories already. I am glad Ann will continue to visit here. kudos to you kitties! you guys so rock. Maggie: they miss you so.

Hi Deborah - Good wishes for Shasta. I so know on the anesthesia hangover... it can be brutal sometimes. Mannie was particularly susceptible to it. I can only imagine on the no eating. She will be glad when she feels better, and can pig out again. I like this:
Kitties MUST HAVE FUDS when tummies a rumblin'!
THEY MUST, for sure! Mine tell me that daily.... Speedy recovery vines for Shasta

(((Michelle))) Thanks you for the candle and sweet remembrance of Maggie. She's now there with Mannie and the other GA kitties and chasing butterflies. Thanks for your words of comfort in Maggie's condo. They mean so much.

What a great hike you had the other day, so many great pics. I can't get over all the great places to hike and explore and share with Nicholas. Elsa Lil Bit, thank you for the extra, extra doses of coffee yesterday. They really helped.
I look forward to keeping up with your Loose lips condo and all the goings on of Lola and bug.

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) Sorry I missed you last night. I hope you are doing OK. Big hugs this Wednesday morning. It is comforting to think of Maggie and Mannie and the other GA's chasing butterflies. what great thought. I read that you left Maggie's carrier at he vet, for another kitty to use who needs one. what a great thing to do, very giving, very caring gesture. -- THX on the pics, and the hike. it is a gorgeous area. -- It's great to read that you will continue to visit us. I am glad for that.
Auntie Ann! You are so welcome. I will be there first thing, to bring you brews, treats, and sit with you for a bit if you like. I know you miss Maggie. I do too! See you son ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista
