Over 250 is where you start running the risk of it if they hang there. An occasional bounce there not so much. But by in large you want most of time below that mark. They are considered regulated with preshots below 250 with nadirs in the 100s.

One thing to remember every cat is difference. Autumn went almost a year after they knew she was diabetic with no treatment and her organs are fine. Musette was nearly OTJ and her body gave up and she died. There is no exact science of why one cat thrives and one doesn't anymore than why one person gets cancer and one doesn't.

ok, serious question....did/does any1 have a cat whose tongue hangs out whn theyre just laying around? like 1/4 inch or 1/2? is that the lantus? larry is doing it now. cute/funny, yes, but jst wondering if its a side effect. i nvr saw him do it b4, but maybe he did. hmmm.

I have several all civies that will from time to time do it. Usually when they are deep asleep. Its very noticeable on my blue black tuxedos. Little bright pink tongue poking out of a very black face.

Mona has always done that. Her tongue is often out just a little bit when she's relaxed. We asked the vet about it once and she said it's really common and only a sign of a problem if they never retract it all the way since that would indicate a problem (though it could be structural, muscle, or neurological from there, not a sign of a specific problem).
