Ok this is good right?????? Somebody reassure me quick cause its our first time going this low!!
We've been at 1.25 units for a few cycles now.
Chinookie has been acting great, and grooming places I've never seen him groom before! I was gonna run some errands this afternoon, but I guess I need to wait and see how low we go in an hour....

Yes....this is good and he is fine. It's ok to take down the 911.

Just feed him a couple tsp of low carb canned food and test him in an hour. I won't be on the board, but someone will be here to help. He's getting close to mid cycle so you can see if he nadirs and heads back up.

Yes...be excited! He's in normal numbers.

I wouldn't go though until you have a couple rising numbers without food.

Ok well I tested again, after giving a little food. He usually has 2-3 oz around lunch time, and I'd say he ate about that much. His glucose was back up to 171?! Did I just not get enough blood the first time? I can usually tell if its going to be enough blood for a sample, or if I have to poke him again.... Hmm.... Will keep watching I guess.

It's possible that the +5 was a bad test or bad strip. It's also possible that Chinookie's liver panicked and the numbers spiked into a bounce. If you test say at +8, you'll know.

Also, could you reformat your subject line to include the date and Chinookie's name?
