Still a little blue this morning ... 104. By all other counts (5 P's, etc.) Alice is doing great, so I won't be blue over a little blue.

Have a great "Hump Day" y'all! :-D

You just can't be blue looking at her beautiful face!

Re: 8/6 - Alice (OTJ): AMBG 104: +7 77

I get all caught up in the blue vs. green, too. I have to keep reminding myself that the lower bit of blue is still NORMAL. I actually thought of recoding my own spreadsheet to make 40-120 teal so that I am not seeing the numbers as different as long as they're in the normal range.

Re: 8/6 - Alice (OTJ): AMBG 104: +7 77

I've often thought the spreadsheets need to be reworked. I know it would be easier on me when I look at them if 40 and below were bright red or orange with yellow or lime green numbers something shocking to stand out as too low, then 40-120 lumped together as a single color little the green, then 120-250 blue etc. As well as the most recent numbers at the top instead of the bottom. But then again I readily admit I get funny ideas.

Mel, that doesn't sound funny at all. In fact, it sounds ridiculously reasonable. It might be time to start a revolution! I'm going to change mine right now, at least for the normal numbers. People can just deal with it. ;)

Re: 8/6 - Alice (OTJ): AMBG 104: +7 77

I did it. Starting with my OTJ trial, normal numbers are lavendar. It pleases me and I think will actually make me calmer. If it really freaks other people out, I can always change it back, but it really doesn't make sense to treat 199 and 101 the same and even less to treat 99 and 20 the same!

Re: 8/6 - Alice (OTJ): AMBG 104: +7 77

That's always been my thought and easier for someone just starting out to spot a dangerous situation brewing. If hypo range was screaming at them. Plus I don't mind scrolling down on a fairly new diabetic cat's spreadsheet but when you're talking about someone like Autumn who been on insulin for 2 years that's a ton of scrolling just to find today's date to update the freaking thing. Which is probably why I've gotten lazy about keeping it current. By the time I test two, feed 17 critters and come here and check on everyone I don't have time to scroll through that much data.

atajev - I think your revised spreadsheet looks great! Did you manually change the colors or did you change the format formula?

I'd love to add the green up to 120. I do tend to get hung up on the blue ... any blue.

Sorry we hijacked your condo but its definitely food for thought. Maybe we should start a Think Tank topic on the matter since it makes sense to more than just me :-D :-D

I was going to ask where I could propose this change. I'm happy to to the technical updating of the spreadsheet template. I'm looking for little ways like this that I can give back to the community here!

Geneva, I updated the conditional formatting for that section. I would be happy to do yours as well if it's giving you trouble. Just do once cell first, then copy it. Then select a range of cells and go to edit - special paste - paste conditional formatting only.
