something seems very wrong. She seems to get worse with more insulin. One or two good readings and then it goes south.

I think it's just that you are missing the greens.... try to be a little more random with the testing.... especially in the 3-4-5 hour mark after a yellow.
Just a few days ago, 8/2 .... started in yellow.... 4 hours later... green.... then boing.... up to the pink floor....
it's possible there are some missed blues or greens, which her body is not used to.... causing those bounces....

cats are notorious for going lower in the night...
and from what data you have, she doesn't stay in blue or green for long ... which shows her body isn't used to it.

Taking her to the vet to make sure no infection somewhere. We will try to test after the yellows as you suggested. Thanks!
