Re: 8/5 Michael AMPS 453

i think this is still the same bounce, paula. different cats have different patterns, but right now it looks like michael is bobbling around high with a little bit of movement, but not really coming down.

Counting 3 days forward would be tomorrow (wednesday) mid-day. so he may be high until tomorrow evening's shot. or he may clear it sooner.

i'd test again mid-cycle today, at pmps and before you go to bed, and watch to see if he's making any movement to clear it yet.

Re: 8/5 Michael AMPS 453

Thanks.
What + is considered mid cycle? Will he be ok since he is high? I gave him .75u (I think) @6:15am pst.

Re: 8/5 Michael AMPS 453

Julie has a good point, Tess like to dribble around sometimes when she's in a bounce. Just to trick the bens into thinking she is done w/ it!

Mic-cycle would be when you think his nadir occurs, usually +6 to +8, but ECID!

Thanks, Ann.
Hope #'s are lower from when I tested @ mid-cycle.

Re: 8/5 Michael AMPS 453 +6 215

It also looks like you shot at +13 this morning (5:15pm last night, 6:15am this morning)

A late shot acts like a dose reduction, so that comes into play as well as the bounce.

Some kitties are just more bouncy than others!

Looks like he's coming down though! Now Michael! You stop that! No bouncing in the house!!

Re: 8/5 Michael AMPS 453 +6 215

it does really depend on the cat. i usually think in terms of catching a number +3 to +7 as midcycle. Some cats hit there low point as early as +3, some closer to +8. As you get more data in, you'll be able to tell when Michael's nadir (low point) typically is. They don't stay the same all the time, but he'll develop some sort of pattern that will be discernable.

if he weren't in a bounce, i'd get the earlier part of that time frame because then you can catch them and intervene with carbs if they look like they need help, ie, are going to go below 50.

Thanks Julie & Chris.
Auntie Chris,
Bouncing in the house is sooo much fun! Michael
Tested @pmps. 302 Looks like Michael is on his way up again. Don't understand why he is going up @ night.
Hope nothing is wrong.

Re: 8/5 Michael AMPS 453 +6 215 PMPS 302

it's very normal for a cat to take a while to get regulated. don't worry about it at this point.

Julie,
I'll try not to worry. Just tested +2 265 Now it looks like he is going to be lower.
We'll see @amps.
Have a good night.
