Yesterday was another BLUE day in MannieLand. WOOT WOOT!!! I hear that the Blue Mannie Group was performing LIVE on the dunes in sunny central CA. And this bean has no complaints. It is so great to see him holding this surf for all these cycles. Could it be that we have finally made it this far and maybe we can start seeing this as the norm, with the greens making more of a consistent appearance. Well done Mannie! All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D yesterday was such a nice day here - 85, sunny, clear skies - just so so nice! Mannie spent equal amounts of time inside as out. He made several tours of his domain, secured the perimeter more than once, surveyed all from his patch in the ground cover. As warm as it was I'd still find him napping on the deck in full sunlight. :shock: That had to be hot, but he didn't seem to mind. I half expected him to cart the nanners out there, but he didn't. :lol: :lol: They were abandoned in their spot.... poor nanners! He did cruise by now and then to make sure they were ok. What a guy.... It was a good all around laid back day in MannieLand. This morning we had a great test, feed, shoot and clean plate club (YAY), AND the auto feeder was USED by Mannie, (YAY, and back at it, at least for today!) :shock: Elsa still thinks it has her name on it (as always)... so I am back to running interception on the feeder.... Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D

Hi Michelle, yum yum, Peppermint white mocha today for all! I will take an extra large one today! Yes, there does seem to be a lot of blue surfer kitties lately. Maggie made it to the Blue Mannie Group, too, singing her heart out as a back-up! I hope Mannie continues with these nice blues and then greens. He sure is looking good. Maggie, too, stretches out by my patio screen once the west sun hits. How they all can take that sun I'll never know! Glad Mannie enjoyed his yard time. I guess no lb outside though, huh! Have a great day and hike. I didn't get much done yesterday either except sleeping off and on all day with Mags. :-D

Mannie, yay, visiting someone's pool today sounds great. Microbrews are perfect for a hot day. Then some grillin, too, and I'll bring some food to grill. See ya soon at the curb, Mags

Morning Ann - yupp! peppermint white mochas for all. I do love them. :-D :-D :cool: Mannie says to tell Maggie that she is an excellent back up singer. and me too on the more blues. it has been so so nice. We shall see just what today's yellow +2 means.... and I know on the sitting and sleeping in the hot sun. HOT! ad right you are on the no outdoor LB. He still comes in for the indoor one. :lol: :lol: :lol: and thanks - off for an early morning trip to the shore, a shore hike, before it gets hot.

Hey Maggie - woo hoo! it i a go then. it sure sounds good to me. Swimming and floating on some floaties. Thanks too for the grillin' grub. I think I will bring some salmon burgers. YUM! See you at the curb ~~ Mannie

Michelle hope you get a good hike in. Hopefully you'll see some more blue when you get back.

I have never understood how cats can lay in the hot sun for hours at a time. I had one cat that during the winter used to lay face down on top of the vent the heat came out of on the floor. He would go to sleep that way. Crazy. :lol:

Hi Carla - I did get an early morning local hike in - which was fun, good, and so glad I went early. AND!: I came home to blue!! WOO HOO! -- And I so agree on these kitties laying in the hot sun... LOL on your kitty and the heat vent. Too funny! I guess it must feel good to them. ;-)

Hi Roni - That it is! A good day indeed. :-D I know.... We were dripping here too yesterday and there is Mannie in all that LONG DARK fur laying in the hot sun... go figure... :lol: :lol: :lol: And thanks! We did spend the morning out, and am about to headed out on another one. WOO HOO - love the outdoors!

What's up with the +9 Mannie? Oh well. You have been a good blue boy and deserve a little break. Sounds wonderful there. I bet Mannie really enjoyed the outside but poor nanners. I'm sure he has made up for it at night. Have a great evening Michelle!

Hi Melissa - That is what I said. He shrugged.... ;-) And yes on the nanners: it is where I find him in the morning. Usually around dinner time he is in for the night, and nanners rule once again. :cool:

95 is HOT for your part of the world!! Do you have a/c? No wonder Mannie chose to jump up to a hotter number.
We were in the upper 80s today, but it felt like 100 with the humidity. Rusty spent a lot of time in front of the fan.

Did you get out on a hike? I'm getting ready to climb a High Peak on Tuesday (Mt. Colden, the 11th highest of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks). Decided that there was no excuse not to do it!

Hi Ella - oh yes, this is HOT for us! :o :o and no - no A/C. We normally don't need it... :lol: :lol: and yes, Mannie is melting. Of course he insists on staying upstairs, where it is warmer than the basement. Silly kitty.... I should get out the fan for him... poor kitty! Well we will be cooler tomorrow (78), so good to go. I did some local hikes around here, not much climbing involved. My foot has been bothering me, so I elected not to do what would equate to a 2500 foot climb, and give it a break. it is much better tonight. VERY COOL on your upcoming hike to Mt Colden - I hope you take photos!

Rusty - we is still splashing in the pool! So yes - come on over - we is waiting for you! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO on the midnight swim - I like that! let's do it! ~~ Mannie

I see Mannie is already heading back in the right direction...hopefully it's just a short little freak out from Mr L.

My kittes seek out the heat, even in the summer. They all spend every minute, except mealtimes, upstairs, where it is considerably warmer. They all lay flat as pancakes because they're hot, but they insist :lol: !

after all, I have to walk back again. :lol:
Sorry your foot is hurting, but glad you still got to go out today.
It was not so hot here today, but like Ella said, terribly humid.

Hi Amy - that he is! PHEW - so I hope you are right: a short panic by Mr Liver. Flat as pancakes: that is Mannie today.... he is so warm. He finally figured out that it was cooler to lay on the tiled floor by the fireplace. Then he can still protect those nanners! :lol: :lol:

Hi Barb - You are so funny... Love the visual image of up the hill saunter. Somehow I bet you do better than that. :-D Thanks on the foot - is getting better. I just think I have overworked it. LOL: and imagine that! :lol: Sorry for the humidity. That would be my downfall....

Hi Michelle,

It was really hot here too. I went out for a little break today. I was going to sit in the sun with a book for an hour but it was so hot I couldn't even make a half hour! There wasn't a breeze and it was probably over 100 in the sun. I don't think it was the humidity for a change, just heat!

I hope Mannie comes back down to the blues for you. I'm definitely with Barb on the hiking up mountains. A slight hill is all i'm ready for. :lol: Maybe they have a lift? I'll meet you there? :razz:
